Far From Classy... Me!

Hi Steemit!

I'm here to learn more about cryptocurrencies. Glad to be part of Steemit. Can't wait to get to know this community more and learn from all of you.

Anyway, a new friend, whom I met a party mentioned this new amazing platform called "Steemit" and now i'm here... Still trying to get that person to sign up. Working on it...

So, a little bit about me... I recently got laid off and now trying to find another job; but, while I'm waiting for something new, I thought I should expand my knowledge about these cryptocurrencies, that are flipping the economic world upside down. I have a finance background, but please teach me in simple language - I'm kind of slow on learning, and would prefer to read in "plain" English. I do however, have a good memory and comprehension, which means, once I learned things, they are stuck in my head. Yeah, I'm weird like that!

Extra things about me:

1. As I mentioned above, I got laid off, but so far, the companies are telling me that I'm either "too young" to be in a middle management position or I'm "too old" to be on an entry level position - I'm in the beginning of my 30s!!!! - The struggle is real!

2. I'm not a blogger, or a youtuber or someone famous - just a regular person who loves life and food!

3. I also like running, but I'm not the best at it... My goal last year was to run a marathon once in my life - I ran two marathons this year and hoping to run 3 full marathons in 2018!

4. I'm passionate about camping, so if any of you would like tips on getting outdoors, let me know. I camp throughout the year - Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. I know you can read about camping everywhere on the internet, but I'm still willing to share my ideas.

5. I'm not classy at all, though I tried... I would eat loads of chicken wings and there will be sauce all over my face. Sometimes, my friends would find food in my hair, that I haven't noticed for hours... One time, I flew to Toronto, after spending a day in a beach - paddle boarding, and I was so tired that I fell asleep on the guy's shoulder beside me (on the plane) and woke up realizing that I drooled all over his shirt!!! - I was so embarrassed and offered to buy him a new shirt, but he declined... That's when I realized, there are still really nice people out there!

Anyway, if you're a grammar-OCD-person, please forgive me. English isn't my first language. Also, don't hesitate to correct me, I love learning!

By the way, I do use a lot of exclamation marks, because I talk in a very exciting way all the time :P
