Approx how much xbt is required to make a decent whale account on steem?

I'm interested in being a bit more involved in the community. Love to hear your thoughts. Want to work with others to build a decentralized social presence and support others wishing to do the same.

Thanks for the comment. I have about 8000 sp now, and can hit about $1 per upvote. But I think it needs a lot more to be effective...

As you are new to steemit, getting those first upvotes are gonna be hard so my advice would be to give Steemfollower a go as you can earn up to 5x more steem than just upvoting by yourself!
