A man fucked 104 women and a girl with sexual cleansing in Malawi
A Malawian court convicted a man with HIV, admitted to having sex with 104 girls and widows in the traditional ritual of "sexual cleansing".
Eric Neneva, 45, was convicted of harmful cultural practices in the southern region of Nsanje. The ruling did not pay attention to HIV infection because there was no evidence that any of the girls or women had contracted the virus.
"I have the courage to reveal what I am doing, but my arrest, prosecution and imprisonment have not stopped others from practicing the tradition of more than 100 years," Aniva said.
The case of Aniva has sparked controversy in Malawi, where women's rights activists have been described as sex offenders, while others view them as scapegoats for cultural practice.
