I have just one piece of advice for writing - not just on Steemit - write to please yourself.

Don't try to please everyone, don't compare yourself to anyone else because you'll end up pleasing no one. At least if you write for your own pleasure, at least one person is happy :)

Also, you cannot compare your work with anyone else's because even if five writers were at the same event and asked to write about that event, every article would be different.

If you absolutely must compare yourself with anyone, make that comparison between the writer you were yesterday and the writer you are today.
