This is how I made my steemit cover image with a free online toolsteemCreated with Sketch.

in #introduceyourself7 years ago

 Steemit sets a default cover image to its users after successful sign up. Also provides facility to add custom cover image to make your profile different and attractive.

  To the newbies it is quite difficult to make perfect cover image that match his profile. All people do not know the use of Photoshop, Illustrator and other high cost tools. Even I’m in the same group. So I have made own cover image for steemit in an easy way with the help of a free online tool. And In this story I shall share this act with my followers.

  Step 1 Be Simple. First I made my mock up (raw architecture) for the cover image. In steemit all the user related information displays in the center with white color text. So I have to make a dark or deep color or photo in the middle to display the text clearly.

  Step 2 Start Canva. Canva is an easy to use and easy to work online based app that helps me to make my dreams true with some simple clicks. No need to purchase, downloads, register or crack. Full free to register and use. Anybody can register with Facebook or Google id to use this app.

  Step 3 Canva interface: After signup have some patience to load the app properly. Then click on the upper right button titled “Use custom dimensions”. To me I have used 1500 X 225 pixels Design.

  Step 4 Select Layout: Canva provides a huge collection of design layouts. You can take anyone as your choice. I have selected the five equal blocks layout for my design. Here I can add up to five types of element. I can insert stock photo from canva or upload from my pc. Also I can add elements, texts, background colors and patterns and many more.

  Step 5 Main Job: I simple add five photos matching my blogging niche (Technology, Blogging) and make sure that the center one will be deep color or image to display my profile related info clearly.

  Step 6 Finalized the Image: After rechecking the image I download it to my pc as jpg file extension. Then I upload the image to postimg.org and get a url to display the image remotely.

  Step 7 Add to Steemit: After getting the image url, I simply post it to the setting panel on steemit. To check it please visit my profile by clicking here. And also follow me to get updates.

This is the end of this story.

Welcome to steemit

Nice post, but a bit messy due to the extray characters. If you drag and drop an image from your own site, you can forgo the [] () symbols :-)

Actual this is my self made 2nd post in steemit and I did not find any option to post images into different segments in my post.
Do U know any tip to post my images anywhere in a by only drag and drop
like wordpress post editor ??

Actually, I'm not sure how to move around your images here with markdown language. I just use HTML for things like that. Here's part of my post footer as an example:

<div class="pull-right">
<center>
<a href="https://www.redbubble.com/people/anteia/works/28009865-paid-for-with-steem?asc=u"><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmPXsjJdxqMarSMBzpX2r4g8ccxv1gPe7kz5xhgYaYjZxv/image.png" /></a>
</center>
</div>

You gotta be careful with mixing html and markdown though. I use both, but my footer is divided into segments with --- :

That might do the trick.

Thank 4 Ur fast reply. Can U tell me the function of class="pull-right" ??
What does it do ??

Here's what it does in my footer:

As you can see, it literally pulls the image to the right of the text. Pull-left would drag it all the way to the left. With this code, you can still add as much text as you want next to the image.

In my case, I'm using the image as a link aswell. The only thing you would need is this:

<div class="pull-right">
<center>
<img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmPXsjJdxqMarSMBzpX2r4g8ccxv1gPe7kz5xhgYaYjZxv/image.png" />
</center>
</div>
