A Proper Introduction

Hello Steemians!!! 

My first post was quite an in depth overview of many parts of my life but I realize now that, even though it was about me, and technically I was "introducing myself", it was not a traditional Steemit #introduceyourself post.

Well now I feel left out and want to introduce myself properly.

My name is Jon and I am lostinthewoods. I was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and have lived in many places since then, mostly in British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. I spent most of my teenage years hitchhiking around BC. I really loved being on the road, always something new ahead, amazing sights and incredible architecture that I had never seen before... Oh to be young again. I even hitchhiked to Kingston, Ontario.  On the way I turned 18, spent one night in a drunk tank and many under the stars. Not every night under the stars was pleasant... Recently I have settled in Hope, British Columbia where I hope to do some backpacking and camping and fishing with my family. I will be taking lots of pictures to share with you guys along the way so that you all can see the beauty here.

I think that Steemit is a great community, it's nice to see everyone supporting each other like this. I am excited for the future here!

I am a privacy minded individual, although I have been slacking a lot lately. I like to use encryption apps to secure my communications and VPNs to obscure my location as often as possible.
