Why I Joined Steemit
Hello amazing people of Steemit!
Right now staring at my computer i came to wonder why i wanted to join steemit and why it's so special. I haven't been here for so long but i'm still enjoying it a lot, and even tho i'm not making any money at all i'm fine. So why? Why did i join this platform.
How i got introduced to steemit:
One day in school I was talking to a friend of mine who shares the same interest in cryptocurrencies as me. We we're talking about different coins etc and what we had invested in. Then he tells me about a website he found, called Steemit. He showed me some of his posts and i thought, "why is this so special?". He then began to talk about how you can get paid for the content you produce and that the community on here is very good. Now when i heard "getting paid" i instantly joined, and i guess that's the reason many of us came on here in the first place. After a while here i noticed that i haven't profited more than 10 cents. But, what i learned from this time was that money didn't matter anymore, because the community on this platform was so great.
So, I continued posting and continued interacting with people, reading other peoples posts and commenting and everything was great. This is how i found my way into Steemit. One day i was fortunate enough to come second in a meme competition and won 10SBD. And damn i thought that was cool. So i thought i could withdraw it and make some money, but with some time to think i instead powered it up to Steem Power. I thought that was a wiser choice because why not support the already awesome community even more by building up my Steem Power. I later realised that 10 Steem power wasn't much at all but i still think it was worth it.
I hope all of you enjoy Steemit as much as i do, because it really is a great place to hang around. I'm not in it to make the money, i'm here for the community and all that it has to offer.
