About Us:

Kyrill is an upcoming blockchain based MMORPG that's being developed in the United States. Kyrill's mission is to hold the merit of a normal MMORPG while being fully intertwined with cryptocurrency. This means that players will be able to sell items from their adventures for cryptocurrency via the auction house. Kyrill has been in the works for the past few months and it's time to announce the project to the community!

How will it work?

Players will be able to aquire a huge range of items from questing, monster-slaying, trading, crafting, farming and gathering. The player can then choose to sell their items in the in-game auction house. Other players can purchase said items directly with cryptocurrency, and the seller can profit real money from in-game!

Timeline

Kyrill has been under development for a few months now. Our team is nearing release of a demo video with many of the features that are already implemented into the game. The demo is scheduled to release mid-December and the first alpha launch of the game will follow shortly after.

Our Team

Our team currently consists of 2 programmers, 2 artists, and a community manager. We are currently taking applications for a sound engineer and a story-writer. We have been consistantly growing our team and are looking for the support of the community to continually grow.

Community & Support

As a small group with big goals, we need the help of the community to bring this dream to life. Follow us on steem for continuous updates, teasers, and announcements as we continue our project!

This sounds great

Thanks! We love to hear support for our idea!

Luck on track. You planning to operate under steemit for long time or soonest you'll move out and be under a self crypto.

Ideally, both. We would like to accept multiple cryptocurrencies and be able to quickly exchange between them. Of course this means we might introduce our own cryptocurrency in the future, however as of now our priority is to focus on the development of the game itself.

All the best. Keep us tagged, I'd like to be part of the early passengers.

Which cryptocurrency? What are the names of the people involved?

We will begin using the STEEM cryptocurrency as this is the platform we believe in long term and can advertise on at the same time!

Myself and my brother Nick started the project ourselves, and have since grown the team.

Hi, Welcome to steemit. This is a great platform to learn something and get rewarded for sharing your thoughts and quality work. Upvoted your introduction post. Have a good time.

Thank you! We love this platform and that's why we have decided to begin using the STEEM cryptocurrency in our game!

Thanks! We're really hoping to turn this into something!

This is something I've been waiting for! I'm really into game development myself (that's what my own blog is centered around!) and I'm very interested in your project!

Keep on doing what you do. I would love to play that. Good luck for you and dont stop until its done 😉

Great! We're happy to have the support! :)

This sounds like fun..

I remember reading an article many years back from an economist who did his thesis on the MMORPG ecosystem..

He tracked the coin in one (possibly WoW) and compared it to how certain items were selling for money online. Compared them adn got a USD value. then estimates the total amount in the online world..

I recall it being something like 'larger than most small countries' or something like that..

Fascinating prospect.

Isn't it? This is partitally where we got the idea from. It's really interesting that so many people can devote enough time into games to build real wealth, but with the probem that it can almost never transfer into the real world, however it's real time being spent in the game - so why shouldn't it be able to transfer?

I fully support that ideal

And I will endeavour to support your project in any way I can..

not the least of which is because I love RPG's...

I think it goes beyond that even. The gaming industry is just as guilty of leveraging the value their users create on their platforms to reap profits without much reward to the players of these huge network based games. We have an opportunity to share the real value with the players that are driving the community and economies of these games. I have been thinking about the potential for decentralized gaming for a while now, glad to see someone implementing a product.
