Hi there Steemit enthusiasts
My name is Nicole and I have been observing this social experiment from afar for only a short period of time, and have decided to jump in feet first with a giant push from my boyfriend.
You see, I have been patiently observing and waiting for my boyfriend to acknowledge my existence since he had joined Steemit (which was about 2 weeks ago).My patience started to wear thin, so I decided to have a look for myself and was pleasantly surprised with the diverse knowledgeable content Steemit offered.
My introduction shall start with a kind hello, from a gypsy at heart with a passion for kindness and travel. I also absolutely love and adore Sloth’s, I shall share some their admirable qualities and you too shall be advert sloth supported in no time.
I spend my days working to change the world starting with the most impressionable
minds… children. These tiny innocent creatures are born honest and innocent, it is our own desires and demons that can destroy the kind light in their eyes.
My passion for children has now lead me down the path to work with children with a Disability, dreaming of bridging the gap of society and their view point on people living with a Disability.
When my work day ends, I seek a gypsy life which refuels my soul.
I live in the state of Queensland in Australia and love to flip a coin on a Friday afternoon, “heads” North, “tails” is South embracing all that travel has to offer. I have travelled to many places in the world, however feel most free behind the steering wheel of a car down a long stretch on highway.
I also have a new found passion for Mountain biking due to the patience and persistence of my boyfriend. This is a rather new passion which has allowed me to experience my first broken bone at the age tender age of 31, and not seeking medical attention for 2 days after the epic fall.
I am totally addicted! It is the hobby that allows you to think your only as good as your last ride, meaning I haven’t fallen off my bike for 2 months then suddenly today I needed training wheels on my bike!
I find it is also a form of meditation for me, for you need to be completely present in each moment as you are riding otherwise you may end up accidentally taking the “A line” on the track instead of the “B line”. This is fine if your name isn’t ‘Clumsy Dumbsy Nicole’ and forgot your pads for protection that your boyfriend nagged you about putting on but you decided “Nah, I got this”. Unfortunately, for me I now find myself on a jump and flying in the air.
It’s at this very point the monologue in my head kicks in laughing saying “oh well, your going to die now”. It’s that voice that allows me to fall off my bike and get straight up checking my bike for damages before moving onto the next adventure...oh and before my boyfriend finds out I have stacked it AGAIN… without pads that were in the car!!!
Thank you for your time
A part of kindness consists in loving people more than they deserve….
