Why I left my day job

Before I share with you why I started this steemit account, let me tell you first the things that I long for...

I want to be an entrepreneur.

I want to be a writer.

I want to be a photographer.

I want to travel and explore different cultures.

I want to live out my best potential beyond the office cubicle.

I want to learn not just new things but anything that caught my curiosity.

I want to spend more time, quality time, with family.

Those are my inner dialogue and most often than not reality check knocks the desire out of me.

Time is always the enemy.

I am an engineer by profession. I believe I am doing a great job as a structural engineer but, as much as I love my career, I have to do something different; something I have never tried before.

As the saying goes:

Don't live the same year 75 times and call it a life.

I've been living the same life for so long.

Finally, I get to summon the courage I never thought I had.

I left my day job in pursuit of the things that I love.

I still work as an engineer, but this time, as a freelancer which allows me to work practically anywhere. I don't get as much as I used to, but I do get more of the most important currency in existence, TIME.

I can now travel, write, shoot, learn interesting things, spend quality time with family not limited by the weekends or holidays. I am also very keen on learning the foreign world of entrepreneurship.

This blog is a continuous unfolding of a dream, giving life to my journey towards faith, hope, and love.
