MEET THE WORLD’S WORST LANGUAGE LEARNER

  I am not exaggerating when I say I can’t speak any other language except English having had ample opportunities. My name is J. Keenah and am an IT Specialist who is soon to be a future Computer Graphics expert. My new city of Baku speaks very little of English, hence my dilemma of fearing to be subject of grossly timed gossip.    

 

In the past couple of years Baku has opened up to the world and is re-inventing itself both economically and intercultural. My new home of Baku was recently fortunate enough to host Formula 1 Grand Prix which saw Nico Rosberg walk away with the trophy. My money was on his Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton though but his win was well deserved.   

Having grown up and lived in different countries with different cultures, I still seemingly failed miserably to grasp any of the native dialects. I am now on a mission to learn Russian as my first fluent foreign language and then will move on to learning Azerbaijani as time is on my side. It pains me to have missed out on fluently learning and speaking languages like SiSwati, Portuguese, French, Chichewa, Tumbuka, and Swahili. I guess the seventh time is a charm, or not, will have to see.
