Jeremy Crow: Underground Musician and Dark Occultist

Greetings fellow Steemians! I only discovered this site a few days ago and I'm so excited to be making my first post. I am a content producer, love exploring new social networking platforms and have been interested in Blockchain technology for the past few years, so this seems like the ideal site for me.

The first thing you should probably know about me is that I've always been driven by an insatiable curiosity paired with a rebellious streak. This has led me to become deeply interested in discovering how things work. It should be no surprise then that I am interested in technology, biology, history and philosophy. As a kid, I took things apart and tried to put them back together. Sometimes I was even successful! Eventually I got better at it and went on to get my formal training in electronics. I have been working as a Wireless Telecommunications Industry Specialist for almost twenty years now. I'm a big fan of scientific visionaries Nicola Tesla and Marvel "Jack" Parsons. And now that we're done with the boring stuff...

Back in High School, my friend Matt and I started an industrial band that we called "Plastic Vein." We had plenty of rehearsals but only one gig. We played at a Battle of the Bands in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. We didn't win due to a technicality, but we got the most coverage on the local news channel. This was fun, but then we went off to get our higher education in different cities.

About four years later we ending up living in the same city again and decided to start another band. We consulted a deck of Tarot cards to get our new name: Pleasure The Priestess. In less than a month we would have our first gig at a goth club in Toronto called The Vatikan Vampire Sex Club. This would become our primary venue over the course of the next two years, often filling the club, to the delight of the owners. Pleasure The Priestess (PTP) has gone through some ups and downs in the past 12 years, but we have grown considerably as artists during that time. We're getting ready to put out an album this year that we are really proud of and we are putting together a live set to promote it. The other major passion in my life has been the occult. This has been a lifelong passion but I have especially dedicated myself to the occult arts and sciences for the past 22 years. As a child I discovered Lucid Dreaming and tea leaf reading, but when I got into my teen years I really started digging deep into esoterica. I began to practice ceremonial magick and work with the Tarot. When I turned 21 I joined an esoteric branch of the Freemasons. A couple years later I entered into a four year mentorship under Tau Cerinthus, the most prominent Gnostic bishop in Canada. One aspect of my training involved being initiated into the mysticism of the Martinist Order and eventually being ordained a Priest in the Gnostic Church. I was also involved in the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and the Ordo Templi Orientis.

I quickly found my place within the much misunderstood Left Hand Path of occultism. This path embraces Works of Light but does not shun the Darkness. On the contrary, a courageous exploration of the shadowy corners of man and nature is a key component of the Left Hand Path. The primary idea here is to embrace, harness and integrate the complete self rather than rejecting what may be less comfortable personality traits. I consider myself a Luciferian, which obviously derives from the word Lucifer. What some may not realize is that the word Lucifer is Latin and literally translates as "Light Bearer" or "Bringer of Light." Light being a universal symbol of knowledge, awareness and truth, it is in this sense that I use the label Luciferian.

My contributions to the occult community include my collection of educational writings, videos, podcasts and public lectures. I also lead international organizations such as the Ordo Luciferi and the Assembly of Light Bearers. I am in the process of developing and establishing the Ziggurat of Enki and the Titanic Order of Prometheus, which are Left Hand Path Esoteric Orders inspired by Mesopotamian and Greco-Roman mythology (respectively.) I founded and continue to run the Luciferian Research Society, an online hub for occultists and artists of all stripes to get together and collaborate on projects. I founded and produced the first International Left Hand Path Conference in Toronto, Ontario back in the summer of 2012. I have continued to produce these types of events in different cities, the most recent being in Ottawa, Canada under the name "Flambeau Noir" which translates to "Black Torch" from the French. The next Flambeau Noir event is planned for the end of April 2018 in Portland, Oregon USA.
