MY INTRODUCTORY POST

DORCAS SELASSIE QUARCOO is what I am called (@jeeandmee ). I come from Ghana. A student at the KWAME NKRUMAH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY.(Ghana), currently reading Biological Sciences. One may ask ‘What has Biology got to do with Blogging?’.
Well naturally I love to write. I was introduced to Steemit by @etedrc who is a class mate. IN AS MUCH AS everyone has his or her capabilities and abilities, others are also gifted with the beauty to write in all areas concerning life.

WHAT I LOVE TO DO ASIDE WRITING

Mostly when I am alone, I love to listen to music. As it is said , “Music it is medicine to the soul”. I listen to music and it sets me going. I also love to hang around with friends. Without them what would the world mean? My world without them would have been a mess, they keep me moving and motivate me to do more in anything I intend doing.

Friends without a family is like a world without a moon and a sun. Stars may shine and the world may be lightened always, but there wouldn’t be any symbol(someone) to give a distinction between the months, the days and the nights.

Families are everything we could have, they tell us what friends can’t see, they shape our lives for the better. We share experiences , laugh at each other and feast together when we met together.

I know by now, many would be wondering , a person with a reputation of (48)being on the platform for about 4months writing an introductory post?? Mmmm..

WHAT I WANT TO ARRIVE AT

I was just introduced into this community with the mindset of “write anything and people will upvote and you will earn money”. I wasn’t thought any other thing apart from that. I had to wallow in this great sea by myself. Had no idea about markdowns, referencing, tags, how to make transfers in fact nothing.
And this is what most of the minnows face here. Many of them have to pick up here on their own. And when the storms here seems too hit them really hard, they give up. I didn’t because I just loved to write, and wasn’t moved by what I earned on a post.

I had to sail and be the captain of my own ship here until about 2months ago I had the opportunity to be on the #STEEMIT-TEAMGHANA platform where I was shaped and taught on what I ought and ought not to do.
Due to these unfortunate circumstances I now want to do what I missed.” MY INTRODUCTORY POST”

I think at least the introductory post or the first post of any newbie should be upvoted by the community through a technical means to at least keep the newbies accepted and loved here.
Many get flagged, caught my cheater etc. because they do not know their limits and how to go about with postings and not really acquinted with the rules over here.
