I am a GODDESS not a FEMINIST
I would like to share with you why I am a Goddess not a Feminist and why I believe that the world can be healed and the balance can be restored only with the Goddess - Sacred Feminine energy not Feminism. I will also share with you some of my photos where I am in my natural Goddess element, I hope you enjoy ;)
There is a galaxy of difference between The Goddess energy and Feminism. I have always felt that I embody the Goddess archetype. What is the Goddess energy?
I feel it when I am listening to my intuition, when I am in deep state of creative expression, when I move my body to dance, when I am making love, when I am fully immersed in the beauty of nature, when I am connected to my mood cycle, when I meditate, when I am open and in alignment with the world around me... My high sensitivity is my gift, my deep knowing & intuitive nature is my Sacred Feminine energy in its open flow. The Goddess is always within me.
The Sacred Feminine energy is highly intuitive, abstract, creative, soft, nurturing. It is the receptive and open energy of the Mother Earth. Each one of us, male and female, carries within our psyche both Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine.
It is the energy of beauty, love, creation, manifestation and cooperation. It is the mystery, magic and wonder of life.
As a gentle but sensual frequency, feminine energy is also linked to procreation and sexuality, which is precisely why it has been shunned for so many centuries due to the repressive religious values of the masculine Patriarchal church. In fact, most of the religions have been used as a way to suppress the Divine Feminine. Religion is the oldest form of mind control, which harnesses human bliss by trying to repress healthy sexuality.
When Sacred Feminine is actualized in the earthly realm, the woman becomes a Goddess. She is perceived as a Goddess, regardless of her appearance, because this is the light she emanates from within and the beauty she shares with the world.
Since the birth of human civilization, the Divine Feminine was venerated. The female womb was a sacred space for alchemy. Womanhood epitomizes nature in its most significant role of creator. Nature was the mother, and the only religion then extant.
The function of the sexual priestess, and many of the other ancient feminine sexual archetypes, was for awakening, healing and transmitting this life-giving energy we call sexual. Many awakened women carry this archetypal energy.
The Goddess energy I just described is usually very far from what in the West are called ‘feminists.’ The loss of reverence for the Goddess occurred with the patriarchal system. Patriarchy by its own actions and practices has been a man-made system of fear, dominance, power and control, seeking to diminish and suppress the feminine energy and only worship and exult the masculine. The conscious development of women was significantly blocked. Slowly women began to worship gods made by men; the values of the men became their values; the attitudes of men to justify the subordination of women became their values. The loss of the relationship with the Goddess led to the adoption of masculine characteristics. Femininity was occupied by feminism, and, the pursuit of equal rights distorted to a match with the male nature. The Sacred Feminine and Western Feminism are complete opposites in it’s energetic vibration.
On energetic level, feminism is feeding the masculine dominated world by exuding the masculine energy of opposition, often aggression and anger, mind not heart orientated way of being… Divine Feminine in no way negates true masculinity, rather it empowers it. Feminism is also resisting the true Sacred Feminine energy.
Only the Divine feminine - Goddess energy can bring forward the healing that the world needs right now and restore the balance on this earth after this planet has been dominated by the masculine for way too long. The myth of a higher power being male only has led to much destruction and oppression of anything feminine, the Mother Earth herself has been suffering for so long. The female energy is naturally environmental because her body echoes nature.
In male dominated society the environment has been dashed and deserted. Goddess energy is vital source of energy in our lives. Without it we are out of touch with our bodies and Mother Earth. Without it, we live lives on the surface, pursuing empty goals, ego-centered ambitions and desolate values that are disconnected from the mystery, wonder and magic of life.
Humanity must evolve beyond the duality of the Patriarch and the Feminist for neither is truth and neither is aligned with Love Consciousness. Indeed, the tension of the ongoing conflict only reinforces the alienation and harm: and fails to awaken the true voice of the feminine. It is time now to reestablish the balance of Life - Masculine and Feminine together, in remembrance of our divine and sacred heritage.
As a final note, as a question of Life there is no inequality. In Life, all beings are equal; we are all divine. Equality is no longer a social, political, religious, economic or cultural question. In truth, it never was. Such questions are questions of man, not questions of Life. We Are All One.

Hello,
I enjoyed your post. Feminism is a funny thing, so open to different interpretations, and I guess expressed in different ways. Ultimately it is very simple and I believe not necessarily incompatible with your notions of Sacred Feminine.
Merriam Webster definition : "the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities".
Equal rights and opportunities. It’s simple. That is not the same as saying that men and women are, or should, be the same. I understand that the reactive and at time vitriolic response of many feminists under the violence of patriarchy has given the impression of the feminine meeting fire with fire, meeting the patriarchy through trying to match it with aggression. But it doesn't need to be that way, and I think every individual, every generation, will continually reinvent how they interpret and enact "feminism".
I've been quite concerned at the vilification of feminism by women that is evident on the internet (waow – the internet really appears as a vile cess pit of abusive mentalities when you do a Google search for feminism, it’s scary). I think any women that does not agree with how they see feminist discourse being articulated and enacted would empower themselves much more by owning and rearticulating feminism for themselves rather than rejecting it (surely a straight-out rejection of feminism is simply more brutal Western dualism??).
I'm Irish, and I'm very proud of my Irish heritage, especially of the culture that existed before the all out anglification of the culture. Under the Brehon Laws (ancient laws of Ireland that dated back to 714 BC), women occupied a unique place. The Irish law gave more rights and protection to women than any other political system before or since. Women were considered equal to men in all things.
They could and did aspire to all offices and professions as equal to men. They could be political leaders, local magistrates, poets, artisans, physicians, warriors, judges and lawyers. In the early Celtic church women where consecrated Priests on an equal footing with men.
Women had protection in law from sexual harassment; from rape; from discrimination; they had the right of divorce from their husbands on an equal footing, with equitable separation rights, they could demand part of their husbands property as a divorce settlement. They had the right to inherit personal property. They had the right of sickness benefits when ill or in hospital.
For sure they had some downright sexy mystic priestesses just like yourself and Xena the warrior -type sexy bad-asses. For sure there were a load of women who occupied more traditional house-wife roles, but that would have been their choice. Celtic paganism was animist, and shamanic, it vibrated with the mystic. And it was way more of a feminist society than what exists today. What I’m trying to say is, don’t reject feminism, redefine it according to your terms, own it.
I hope I managed to articulate myself sensibly!
Well done on a very impressive introductory post!
PS: I totally stole some script about the Brehon laws from here: http://oracleireland.com/Ireland/history/women.htm
@kate-m thank you for your insight, very interesting points you have expressed. There were some things I wasn't fully clear about in my post, I am all about equal rights for men and women, therefore I don't fully reject feminism. What I don't support is the overly aggressive feminist approach. I feel that when that happens women sometimes loose their true sacred feminine nature and that is one of our powers. Very interesting point expresses about Celtic shamanism, I will research more! Nice connecting with you
Hello, yes, I see lots of that, women don't like how they see modern feminism being expressed, and they go to the opposite end and pose as avid anti-feminists, but I think it's really damaging for women in general. It's kinda like people eating loads of meat just to spite annoying preachy vegetarians when really truth be told they wouldn't mind the odd meat-free meal, sort of cutting off your nose to spite your face. I had imagined that you were not in fact actually anti-feminist (in the sense of anti equal rights and opportunities), but the sad fact is that most internet users will read the title and scan the rest, and will go away thinking how terrible feminism is. Maybe we need to invent a term to differentiate it as a particular type of feminism? Despite not being one to be shy about expressing my opinion, as you might have noticed! I don't actually have a very thorough knowledge of all the ins and outs of feminist discourse, maybe there already is such a term.
I get what you mean about feminine powers etc. I've been meddling a lot with shamanism and sacred feminine this last year whilst living in Brazil and learning lots. There's actually an enormous shamanic scene under the radar here, it's fantastic (if you're interested have a read of my most recent post about an ayahuasca ceremony I attended: https://steemit.com/art/@kate-m/the-panther-grabbed-me-encounters-with-the-mother).
Look forward to more posts from you!!!!
Why are you so hot? if you keep posting like that here on steemit whoaa i think all will be crazy!
very Interesting. Sacred feminine in no way negates true masculinity, rather it empowers it. You need to be very aware, fem-nazis will attack you, for you offer a true non ( their message) traditional path. American Feminized Men will fear your power because they have no true masculine "Code". Only a Man whom is comfortable with himself and his role in the great universe can truly appetite the power of a true Woman. Hopefully your message will empower real woman to embrace real Men. Then in my humble opinion we the yin and the yang will be able to re-balance the world. then peace will flow from womb to garden and garden to the plains. From the plains real food will help feed the positive nature of our human experience.
I wish you great luck in getting out your message.
Kiss
Thank you for your beautiful comment. Exactly, true sacred feminine only empowers true masculine. And goddess needs a man who is anything but feminized. But there's still plenthy of men out there in their sacred masculine power ;) And many are awakening. The rest can't even reach my vortex :) @happyzackforest
Really
Lucky you, sometimes I feel like I have no intuition at all... Does it mean that my Feminine magic doesn't work?
I agree that Feminism is often pushing too far though.
@anna-redhead Feminine magic is a matter of getting activated ;) the more we focus inward the more we can develop our intuition and get in touch with our divine feminine energy, practices like connecting with nature, meditation, yoga, dance has helped me a lot
