RE: Introduction: My First Day Here But I Still Made The News - Hi Whales

in #introduceyourself8 years ago

If I have available votes, I vote for the things I am in agreement with.
If I don't vote, that could be considered my way of "down voting" a person's content.

One member - one vote would be like a chat room with no limits or mods. Like a game that doesn't let anyone advance or level up. There has to be a way of advancing here.

There are actually two. There is the "SP for Hard Work" and the "SP for Bitcoin" ways of gaining more stake. If I were to invest 51% in Microsoft then I could force my will on the developers to open source it and make the OS virus proof. Otherwise I can write an email complaining that my system is vulnerable - or just go somewhere else.

You exercised your power over the witnesses by removing your support from them. That is our system.

My personal opinion is limiting voting power on posts based on high quantity SP holders. That's what I believe so I will likely do that with my account. A 5% vote for the blogs I like which will still give each one between 0.20 to 0.60 and someone with only 10,000SP would be able to give 0.20 to a blogger by using a 100% vote.

The whale can get 40 (votes) X 20 (5% votes) which gives him 800 votes per day.
The non-whale would get 40 votes with the same impact as the above.

Tks for your explanation, I just saw now that you are repairing the damages made by "the experiment" on Steemit and reduce collateral damages. Keep on. Good job. :)
I never look at numbers on the wallet but now I saw by chance what you are doing.
That's work for the community, good witness to vote if you are aiming for it:).
This is a comment I made about the experiment.
If the "experiment" had the right intentions now, the "experimenter(s)" should give back to the people what was taken from their produced value (steem), but nobody can replace the damage made in Human feelings and esteem of innocent bystanders.
Me, and many common content producers on Steemit, surely are not going to forget that they were the guinea pigs for and experiment of the wars of the fight for Power using aleatory targets of any bystander.

The sad part is that this kind of thing happens once every few months. It's not always mass flagging, but it is always a mess. They have not learned that small adjustments should be made often rather than huge changes that void every "Steemit Beginners Guide" out there ever couple of months. Thanks for taking the time to socialize - that is the part I like the best about Steemit.
