There are a lot of free videos you can view on YouTube to understand steemit better, however, in a nutshell it's about writing quality content to share with others and in return your can get paid in Steem. Steemit is built on the blockchain and rewards it's users in this crypto currency for their input. Steemit is experiencing exponential growth at the moment which will in turn also mean steem will grow to new heights soon.
