Greetings Steemians, we present the account @drugpolicy. This account will be used to promote content related to the reform of current drugs policies, the search for alternatives to the international control model and harm reduction strategies. We hope through this initiative to make visible the problem of the failed and dire drug war.
We are aware of the great potential of this platform to promote denunciations of systematic human rights violations carried out around this war, with the Northern Triangle of Central America and Southeast Asia being the regions that suffer most from the vortex of violence caused by the War on Drugs. There is abundant academic evidence of policy ineffectiveness
law enforcement in drug control.
We are waiting for the support of the Steemit community to promote the end of this dire war.

This initiative is supported by IEPES and the citizens' group LMG and the Harm Reduction and Risk Management program "+Info -Risk".
We recognize that the current model of drug policy has not been adequately addressed from a health perspective. A subject not approached from a human rights perspective, which are being violated and violated by a drug control policy based exclusively on repressive and criminal criteria.
The current drug control model has in most cases proved to be harmful, generating undesirable consequences such as stigmatization of work, family and education. Evidence shows that an effective drug control policy should
be founded on public health and human rights criteria.
Therefore, this project seeks to foster knowledge management, the creation and dissemination of reliable information.
