Fellow Steemers; Greetings
This is my introduction post. I'm from Canada, eldest of four siblings. I have lived in Western Canada my entire life, but have traveled over my country, Canada, the United States, Mexico, and some parts of Europe, mostly England and France. I ski in the Rocky Mountains, cycle in the city.
My training is in photography, technology, networking and web site design for many years. Now I work in real estate, selling houses and renting rentals using photography, technology, networking and web site design. http://ArcherPhotoworks.ca
Photography was is my first career and I will use steemit to share some of my work and participate in the photo challenges. The Internet will be our Louvre.
The newest interest for me is crypto currencies. It's a good way to push back against increasing government control of our lives and maybe make a few, or even more than a few dollars in the process. The crpyto discourse brought me here, I bought steem my first day.
It's exciting to be relatively early to this wonderful party. Like you, I see great things ahead for steemit and steem. Refreshing to see you youngsters from around the world remember what the Internet was invented for. It wasn't to sell you stuff and track your every breath. It was shaped by individuals like us to smash the old communication paradigm and create a new one everyone controls and to which everyone can contribute. The free part held us back for a while, but now the block chain has shown the way.
In 20 short years the internet has become critical to modern life. We communicate, we discover and re-discover self expression in a rigorous way, a way that gives back. Here's to 20 years of steemit.
