Hello Steemmates, 

So here goes my first post introducing myself!! Excited, nervous, ambitious, yes I am feeling an extensive amalgamation of emotions right now, which is probably justified considering the platform I am about to enter and the world I am about to step into. So why Steemit? *like I need to answer the question* Motivation of course; financial and intellectual gains. So let’s get to the topic and step into my thoughts and emotions a bit so that you may get insights who I am and what I am willing to contribute to this community. 

As my bio reflects, my name is Vedant Kaushik, 21 years old male from India whose first language is Hindi and English. So basically when it comes to social interaction I am a bit reserved (the perfect explanation to hide that you are an introvert). That being said, you must have gotten the idea about my personality. Why this attitude? Well, some may say it is from the birth or the upbringing but I would say that this is because I have never felt the urge to share my personal life on social platforms and I am a bit reserved (seriously this time). Low on confidence? Yes, I am because I have always thought that there’s no interesting reason that would compel other to pry into my personal life. 

I would also like to bring to light that I am a pursuing content writer and currently working in an MNC. For those of you who don’t know, content writing is a profession in which you have to write on certain topics for other (which may range from general information to deeper reflections on various theories); basically completing the assignments of others. 

So what kind of content do you write? 

As I have a strong management background, I mostly deal with the management assignments and articles and also some general articles too. I have also done thesis and research papers in the field of management which I am unable to share due to bound of rules and regulations of the industry. I started content writing about a year ago as soon as I got graduated from my college. Why so early? Well, you can say financial issues that blanketed my family and me.  

So why content writing?  To this question I literally have no answer, yes you heard it right! The field I am working in was not my first priority, instead I wanted to go to a graduate school and pursue my career doing MBA and I am pretty sure, provided my skills and abilities I would have easily cracked a 10-6 job without any growth prospects. Jokes apart, I was bought into this field by a friend of mine who say my struggle with finances and suggested me to use my mediocre English ( which I am still improving) to earn some bucks. With succession of time and experience, I got to know about the scope of this filed and platform like Steemit come as a blessing in disguise. So here’s a picture of me on the first day of my joining:

Things to be noticed, apart from growing my biceps and beard I have also increased my skills and enhanced my writing knowledge. I am well aware of the fact that there are still some major lessons to be learnt for which I am stepping into this YouTube of Writers. 

What can you expect from me? 

As told I am a content writer and handle management and general projects so you can expect ideas, discussions and analysis of the top management and economic issues that are taking place on global levels. Will I be posting on a daily basis? Yes, I will try to ensure that because as stated above I am supporting my family which does not allow me to leave the job and join the platform full time as there are many things to be learnt and many skills are required to be developed. Apart from it, I am not even sure of the earning that I will get from this platform at the early stage which makes it tricky for me to invest my full potential here. I will make sure of it that updates and knowledge is being shared on a regular basis.  

What do I expect from this platform? 

As a coal still required to be heated the major motivation for me apart from monetary benefits is to gain knowledge and share the same. I want to develop my skills and make a useful contribution to the development of this community.
