Introducing myself

My name is Carlos, I was born in northern Mexico 87 km south of where Mr. Trump wants to build his wall (well, in that part of the border there is already a wall so I don’t really understand what the "Reality President” wants to do or if it’s gonna work). During my whole life I've moved frequently from city to city, when I was small because of my dad's work and when I grew up because I wanted to. I like the feeling of arriving in a new place, where nobody knows me, where I have to make new friends and learn new things. However, I like to stay in the same place until I can consider myself a local person, I like to stay long enough to know that when I leave I will miss this place as much as I miss the places where I lived before. The maximum that I stayed in a city has been six years and in total I have lived in 14 cities in 3 different countries.

My wife thinks that I have an interesting life, but just like my mom, my aunts or my grandmothers, I think that she sees me through the love that she has for me, so I try not to believe all the good things that she says to me. For this kind of things I trust a little more in my friends, one of them told me once: "You do everything with excess! When you study, eat, sleep, drink, work, party ... Good or bad, you do everything with excess ". Over the years, I have tried to moderate myself a bit but this is still the best way to describe myself. I like to put all my efforts in what I do and I quickly become obsessed with the next thing that catches my attention.

And that new obsession, for the last few hours has been Steemit !!! I have not stopped reading posts and although I still do not fully understand how steem dollars or steem power works and the reason behind dolphins and whales living in a blockchain, I have come across a community of positive and interesting people who share their lives and their ideas willing to help new members in many ways. (upvoting for this post for example) ;)

During my life, I've seen the contrasts of the planet. I've seen the luxuries and comforts of people who have a lot, I've encountered the beauty of nature in mountains, rivers or lakes and I've been fascinated with the power of man to build cities and cultures that have survived everything. However, I have also seen the shortcomings and desperation of those who have little, I have witnessed the way in which little by little we destroy nature and have experienced the intolerance and hatred of some people.

But, the more time I spend in Steemit I have begun to think that it can be the source of a positive change in the world, a way to start closing the gap between wealth and poverty, to start taking care of the planet and the people who live in it. It's going to take time and it's not going to be easy, but I'm optimistic that Steemit is a good place to start a true change.

I am interested in many things, I want to share a bit of my life and what I’ll discover along the way, I try to learn new things all the time and I want to meet people who live and see life from a different point of view than mine.
