The official account of Steemit Inc. is @steemitblog. Steemit Inc. owns Steemit.com but they don't own the Steem blockchain. It is distributed among the public based on how much people earn and invest.
You have one Master Password that can be used to change all of your other keys. Keys are like your password but they have less Power - Please guard your Master Password as if it was a title to a large property you own.. it might become valuable someday if you earn enough from your posts.
Owner Key:
- Right below the Master Password and I think it is similar but you cannot change any of your keys with it.
Active Key:
- One step lower than Owner Key and still allows you to sell and buy cryptocurrencies like Steem with the money in your account. On some sites you can also enter this Key to post but some sites like Steemit.com might not allow you to enter this key.
Posting Key:
- This key can only be used to post and you cannot access your money from https://SteemitWallet.com with it. Visit Steemit Wallet to get your Owner, Active and Posting Key by entering your Master Key there. Make sure you are visiting the right website though and there should be a green lock sign or something like that to the left of the URL to indicate that it is the right site https://SteemitWallet.com not SteemWallet.com
If you need more detailed info it's better to discuss privately. All comments and posts are permanent and public records on Steem but I think they will eventually offer encrypted messaging in addition to the public comments and posts. There is a way to send encrypted Memos already but you don't need to know about that yet.
After you add a photo, website and other details to your @philnews.xyz account on the https://SteemitWallet.com, create your first post and make the first hashtags #introduceyourself #introducemyself #philippines and choose two more. @surpassinggoogle is a huge supporter of Filipinos in the Philippines and I believe he currently lives in Manila.
