20 YEARS ON PLANET EARTH, 2 WEEKS ON PLANET STEEM (An Introductry Post)

Dear Stemians,

I signed up a little over two weeks now and during which I've had the opportunity of meeting amazing people already but I haven't officially introduced myself. This Is the purpose of this post.

My Background

My name is Buter( pronounced /bu'tay/) Daniel Dooyum and I got to know about steemit from my soul brother @gunneresq. I'm from North central Nigeria, from Benue State precisely where the culture is so rich and the food is good.

My first and last names are my tribal names. Born into a family of four, I was lucky to come last. I'm 20 this year and I happen to be closer to my mum than anyone else. I'm not so tall but I have a lot of tall goals.

My career

I'm a budding solicitor and attorney. And yes!...

...Legal practice can be really boring sometimes though I'm trying to get used to it. I'm Currently reading law in University of Nigeria.

Creative juices

I'm a creative writer and a poet. I write when I feel things, most times I write poetry without having it think of anything at all in particular. I hope to interest you with most of my beautiful poems subsequently. I write all kinds of poems from sonnets to ballads, blank verse, free verse but here's an introductory piece, it's a Japanese type of poem (Haiku ) with just 17 syllables

Entrepreneurship

I'm an investor and an entrepreneur. As an ardent believer in the theory of value creation I, have a business venture known as CRIMSONS.

I deliver great fashion accessories and clothing to students in the school environment I also give sound fashion advice to guys who have a knack for corporate dressing.

I'm developing my business it to become a recognised brand someday.

Leadership positions

Currently, I'm a leader of a group of Student writers called "Nwokike literary Club" it was established by Nigeria's pioneer author Chinua Achebe. In Nwokike, we are focused on grooming young writers to develop their potentials in creative writing .

My Justice Campaign

I am also a founder of a foundation known as "Justice with a human face " which is a human rights movement concerned with raising awareness of fundamental human rights of citizens and also providing legal services pro bono to People.

Indeed, my circle is a very small one,although I have a very small circle of friends who I cherish very much. One of such persons is @gunneresq, in him I've found a brother, one whose mind syncs with mine.

Although I hope to make new friends on this amazing planet and time goes on.

My Realities / Expectations on the steem planet

I'm a writer and writers are searchers. I'm also a thinker and strategist developer. I have a knack to human relations and hope to build solid relationships in this platform(refer back to my page later on to see posts on strategy formulation, how to influence people and principles of power) .

I'm also a Christian and serious about my faith, I'm not religious though.

While growing up I uses to have to have a low self esteem but somehow I got over it.

Perhaps by training myself to believe in my abilities and completing tasks I set out to do.(You can always refer back to this page to see tips on how to overcome depression and low self esteem), By believing that I could improve everyday and my mistakes are simply opportunities to learn.
