What an AWESOME and useful comment... I'm literally going to go through and checkout every one of those links you shared now. As a newbie there's a ton of info (sometimes conflicting) on "Getting Started on Steemit"... There should be a 200% upvote option :p
Thank you! The key for new accounts is engagement, so I highly recommend the GINAbot. Networking with people in the discord servers and on the official steemit.chat site helps a ton too. You only have so much bandwidth with low Steem Power, so it is best to use it for replies to others and not really long posts of your own (that only a few followers will see).
I checked it out, but don't have the .0000x SBD yet to pay for the reg fee insert shame face here... I'll probably be buying some STEEM to convert to SBD and SP soon though... so have bookmarked this as a TODO. Thanks again for all the insight!

It's all good. Have you seen the configuration page? It's insane! I love it though, and I'm always tweaking mine to better fine tune it.
