Hello world!

Hello fellow Steemians! I’m new here and writing to introduce myself.

My name is Barbara Redmon. My online name is blestcrone because that’s what I am. :-)

I'm a baby boomer and I live about 50 miles north of Atlanta, GA. My husband and I have been married 39 years and we have 3 children, 3 grandchildren, a turtle, and a codependent beagle.

I’ve worked in the past as a customer service representative, a teaching assistant in special needs classrooms, a medical insurance billing clerk… stuff like that. These days, my husband and I enjoy retirement.

I like composting and gardening. My compost pile is a big mound of leaves and kitchen scraps contained in a bin made of cinder blocks. I garden in raised beds. This summer, we grew green beans, cucumbers, yellow squash & zucchini, different kinds of tomatoes, and a single green pepper.

I also enjoy listening to podcasts. Back in the day, I had to burn mp3 files to CD’s in order to make my podcasts portable. Now podcasts download automagically to my phone and they’re ready to play whenever I feel like it.

I’ve seen the evolution of exciting technologies that I’ve become dependent on for entertainment, information, shopping, corresponding… and on and on. The internet is like my umbilical cord.

Now there’s blockchain which promises to revolutionize the revolution.
