My introductory post
What can I say? I'm a wife, a stepmother, a sister and a daughter. My family is my focus. A lot of my writing will be based around my family or my friends.
My parents are my heart and soul. My mom was diagnosed with vascular dementia with onset of early Alzheimer's a year ago. She's progressed over this year and it's been hard dealing with losing her while she's still here. We simply take it a day at a time and we hope to keep her in the home and with us for as long as possible.
What you see is what you get with me. I am who I am and no one, but me, will change that. Your opinions are your own and you're entitled to that. That's the way I see it anyway.
My aunt @snook got me into Steemit because she knows I'm a writer. I love writing and always have. I've been published in several poetry books and self-published my own books, but I've been out of the game because life took over. I'm so happy to be here and I can't wait to see where it will take me.

My heart goes out to you and your family! Our loved ones are so precious to us and we make sure to give them all of the support an care they need! That is so kind of you! All so true, as humans we (well some of us) naturally take care of others rather than ourselves. Im happy to be getting back to what i love and I see it as an outlet also for some feelings. Thanks again!
