Hi rhodhouse, as a scientist I believe in both herbal remedies and pharmaceuticals, pharmacueticals have well defined ingredients, but herbs do not, not being able to define the ingredients doesn't mean they don't work. its our knowledges that are limited not their efficacy.

Thanks for the reply! It might be hypocritical of me to not fully support pharmaceuticals since I actually take a combination of 2 different meds in order to stay healthy & it has probably saved my life in the long run so I guess I can't be completely opposed. Thanks to modern medicine, I maintain a healthy life. It's actually this that has made me look more into an herbal alternative due to the impact some meds have on the kidneys. I don't think I'll ever be able to replace my current meds but anything I can do to minimize the overall impact on my body, the better. Thanks again for your reply!
