Oh hello hello

Since I am new to the platform, it's just right that I introduce myself. I'm new to this so this is going to be simple. Please excuse me for my "noob-nes"(that is definitely not a word but I'm going along with it.)

Hello there!

My name is Anne and I am a twenty-four year old who has deep admiration for a number of things.

I am going to start off with something that interests a lot of people: the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yes, that multi-billion dollar movie franchise. I love it. I adore it. I am simply enchated by it. It's the first ever movie franchise I am deeply devoted too. I was never a Potterhead or Twihard or whatever fandom name there is for movie franchise fans. This is my first. I'am a Marveler(?) or do I say Marvelonian? Now that I think about it, it's actually kind of weird that avid Marvel fans don't have a fandom name yet and it's already been 18 movies. Anyway, getting out of topic, I absolutely love the MCU. No, I didn't grow up reading the comic books and the movies have definitely interested me into reading them but I more of a book reader than a comic book reader. I am really interested though. I could go on and on as to why I love it but that would be too long. I'll probably save that for an entry. That would be a very interesting thing to write for me because I can barely express it by talking, what more in writing. Oh, and if you're wondering, my favorites out of all of them are Captain America: Winter Soldier and Black Panther (they are both number 1 for me.)

Another thing that I love is something that I already mentioned. It's books! Novels really. I have a very playful imagination and books help me expand that. I've been reading a lot more romance books lately. Lately as in the past three years. Seriously, I need to explore more but so many interesting romance books are coming out almost everyday and I can't help myself. But aside from my rut on romance books, my favorite book of all time is actually not a romance book. It is titled Luna by Julie Anne Peters. I am not gonna go into detail as to what it is about because it can be easily spoiled but it's a story about opening up and understanding to ones sexuality and standing up for gender identity. This book taught me so much about gender identity especially because I live in a society where being gay or being a lesbian is tolerated but not really accepted. My closest friends are of different gender identities and this book helped me understand them and appreciate them even more. It's such an interesting read and I highly HIGHLY recommend to anyone interested. My favorite book series/ trilogy though is this romance called The Summer Series by Jenny Han. I think a lot more people are familiar with this. This trilogy is such a good romance and this is a trilogy near and dear to my heart. The plot, the pacing, the drama and everything else in it is perfect for me. I recommend this one too to anyone who hasn't read it yet.

Third, I love anime. There I said it. I'm not a weeaboo (I hate that word) and I'm also not an full fledged otaku (don't call me one too because apparently that is a actually a bad connotation rather than a compliment in Japan). My family didn't have a lot so I grew up watching the local tv stations rather than cable. I mean it doesn't mean I didn't get a dose of the mainstream cartoons when I was a kid. I watched and loved Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Labratory, Cat Dog, Powerpuff Girls, Hey Arnold and bunch of others but I also tend to miss them because our local channels show those very early on in the morning and I was not too commited to those shows enough to wake up early. But anime was the one that welcomed me every morning. I grew up watching Naruto, Dragonball, Gundam, Yugi-oh, Bayblade, Slam Dunk, Ruronin Kenshin, Cardcaptor Sakura, Inuyasha and oh so many more. I loved them so much that I would rather sit there and watch anime rather than play house with my sisters. Yes, I brushed off my sisters who asked me to be the cook or the cashier. I was dedicated to Kakashi and Sakura (leave me alone my fellow blood relatives). Now though, I am not as insistent to watch new animes immediately. I bide my time and research what are good enough to watch. Haikyuu is a the top of my list right now. I have probably watched the entire series about 3 times and I am willing to watch it again. I mean who doesn't like sports? I like sports. Most especially the ones where I just get to watch (Seriously, I have very bad hand-eye coordination, you wouldn't want to see me playing sports).

Fashion. Yes, fashion. I loooove fashion. I prefer it over gasp makeup. There are so many kinds and textures and colors to play with. And I appreciate it even more if it's on sale or thrifted. I love it with so much enthusiasm that I'm not even gonna expound much about it here on my introduction because this is probably 70% of what my content is gonna be. I wanted to write and show that we can be fashionable without spending too much. I'm not saying I don't love designer brands. I love it too. But I love it even more when I can look stylish but I also can a get a bang out of my buck. Don't you? My plan is too look for sale items from stores around my area and pick out pieces and build a full outfit where you would think "I look damn good and I didn't even pay that much for it" because that makes a lot people happy and it makes me superbly happy. I'll post whenever I can but I am thinking of making tuesdays as my "Shoesday" where I basically pick out a pair of shoes and build multiple outfits that you could wear with that pair.

This doesn't mean I am not gonna write about other things. Wrong! I mean I already mentioned that maybe I would write about why I love the MCU. Since I already said it, might as well do it and it's giving me so much ideas right now too. Maybe I'll expand it to my top 5 favorites and top 5 that I didn't really like. Also, I have plans on doing "Find out Fridays" where you get to find out what my favorite songs of the week are since I also love music. I have a very eclectic taste so it might touch base to your favorite genres. Lastly, I want to bring everyone on to my journey to creating less waste. It was one of my new years resolutions and I want to stand by it. Maybe it might inspire others to do so too. Keeping my fingers crossed for this one.

This is a lot. Oh my goodness, this is a lot of words. I didn't think I'd get this far but here I am. I hope anyone reading this will accept me on this journey in steem it.

Anyway, I'd love to get to know everyone else too so if you have a favorite anime or book or song, let's talk about it. I am genuinely interested. Also, which is everyone's favorite MCU movie so far. Let's hash it out because Infinity War is coming really soon and I want to celebrate it with fellow Marvelonians. Ugh, that's actually a pretty cringey word. I'm not using that again.
