Hello! My name is Alejandra Herrera. I'm an Illustrator from Caracas, Venezuela.
I'm 30 years old and I have two beautiful little girls.
I'm graduated as a teacher. I speak portuguese, english and spanish.
People use to ask me about the moment I start drawing, but I think that all of us start drawing as soon as we can take a pencil with the hand. I think that the important fact is that I never stopped drawing, and that's the most wonderful thing about being an illustrator: that you still have that connection with childhood. Even when life can get difficult, and you have to "adult", or you have responsibilities and everything turns different, you can still being a child by drawing; it doesn't matter what kind of drawing, but you still have that ludic-playful ability of draw, as a child. That's one of the most wonderful things that I have in common with my daugthers: we love drawing, they as the children they are, and I as the children alive in me.
When I started concentrating in drawing style, I loved realism. But as the time passed by, I start feeling more sympathy for other techniques and styles such as impresionism. One of my favorite themes is erotic art, body shapes and gestures.
Right now, I enjoy making comics and children illustrations. I'm currently working for an editorial house dedicated to reading promotion.
