My name is Jeff and I'm glad I listened to my brother's (@therockman) advice to join the @steemit community.

Who am I?

My name is Jeff.

My day job is teaching middle school social studies; I feel the pain of anyone who is a parent of a child going through the awkward years of their lives. I am also the head high school coach of girls track and cross country.

I am 29 years old and I live in Tampa, FL but was born and raised in Scranton, PA. I moved to Tampa 9 years ago for college and never looked back. The only things that I miss are my family that I now only get to see a couple of times a year. The best thing that came out of me moving is my wife and her family that adopted my into her's. I have been married for just over a year and a half. We meet in an education class in college and hit it off because we both share the same passion for History. Our favorite thing to do together is to visit historical places and learn about them. On our honeymoon, we went to Boston and spent the whole time going from tour to tour and taking in the wealth of history Boston had to offer.

We don't have kids yet, but we have three fur babies.

My Content

History:

I love learning about history and sharing what I know about history! Learning is power and when it's history that makes things even better. I'll be posting about new place and things that I have learned as well look for more to learn on here.

Beer:

There are so many great craft breweries in Tampa and I enjoy trying new beers and talking about them. I have also dabbled in the past brewing and may get back into and share my experience doing it.

Golfing:

One of my favorite hobbies is to go golfing. It is my way to relieve stress and just forget about everything and enjoy being outdoors. I have gotten pretty serious in golf (not a pro by any means) so I would love to get input in order to up my game.

Teaching:

I would love to share my experience about teaching. Every teacher I have ever meet wants to make a book called "You can't make this shit up" giving insight on how students act or what they say, I will use this to share things that I experience as a teacher.
