Hey Again, Steemitizens!

I got a DM last night in Discord chat from a stranger.

"Hi, can you help me?"

"Here we go again..." I thought to myself as I headed to the DM channel

But it turns out they weren't begging for follows, money or views!
(AND QUIT DOING THAT PEOPLE, IT'S TACKY

FINALLY, FOR ONCE A NORMAL CHAT REQUEST!

But what was this? He wanted to interview ME?

![])

I guess I've made a bit of a splash in the minnow pond around here and especially in the @MinnowSupport P.A.L. world for having a fairly quick rise in the stats over my first 25 days on steemit, and it caught some folks eyes when I started helping out some around the chat rooms. Because I was singled out for this interview for reasons far beyond my comprehension.

Here is a link to the interview produced and posted by @JassennessaJ:

An Interview with @sircork - One of the SP Delegators of PAL (Peace, Abundance, and Liberty) (I Cried)

Apparently my answers were "so good it made him cry!" For real, no joke. Or so he flattered me after we were done.

Check it out and show this enterprising, talented you TeamPhillipines Minnow some steemitizen love!

And let me know in the comments here OR there, if you think my answers were totally minnow-moronic! :D

And just like that, this post is over.

Full steem ahead, steemitizens!

@sircork

I had fun interviewing you @sircork. Yes, I even cried on one of the questions there. It was nice meeting you. Interviewing a special kind of person like you is fulfilling. You've taught me many things.

May the Force of Steem be with you!

You will go far, Padi-wan!

@jassennessaj, just read the interview with @sircork. I just wanted to say, great questions! Loved the answers... But they were birthed from your questions. Lol. Not sure if birthed is the best word to use.

Congratulations! This post has been upvoted from the communal account, @minnowsupport, by SirCork from the Minnow Support Project. I read it, comment it, and even said some nice stuff. Whatever your cool, NBD!

Thanks, but apparently this old man is not cool enough to know what NBD even means! :) NBF! (New best friend! :) )

Yes exactly and sometimes it means no big deal meaning your a big deal, but whatever. :)

Got it! NBD

<- Still not dead ;-)

I saw that and I resteemit! It was good!!!!!

Thanks :D It's a joy to know you and be a part of all this excitement.

I am loving it here and the many great folks here!

@sircork any tips for a fellow minnow that's started around the same time as you on steemit? I feel like I've been working hard in all the wrong places. How have you gained such a following so quick?

The Biggest fail people make here:

It's not about YOU, it's about THEM

Three things:

1. Be the welcome wagon.
I started by greeting new incoming minnows in "IntroduceYourself" and spent an hour or two a day READING their posts, and commenting with relevant and kind welcomes to all those that appealed to me. We get 2-5K new registrations a day on Steemit, so there are plenty to choose from. Go meet them! And notice I NEVER asked them to follow me! I only said hello and remarked on their posts. Also read existing users and do the same.

2. Be the value-adder:
When you go on your greeting and meeting campaign, you should already have one or two posts on your blog so they can see what you are all about as well. This includes your own, well composed, interesting welcome post. Value is subjective, but ANY post you put up should have purpose. Humor, info, how-to, fiction, non-fiction, poetry, photos, art, whatever, if it adds no kind of value, don't do it. For an example of the kinds of posts that add value, look at the blogs of the top posters. For the kind of blogs that do not, look at Facebook. :D Always be helping. Helping someone laugh, learn, be encouraged, or less discouraged. Be uplifting, interesting and ALWAYS BE KIND! Join MSP and volunteer your time to help other new minnows when you can!

3. Persevere.
Rome wasn't built in a day, but Romans don't waste time either. This is the hardest one to explain. In fact, if I start, I'm going to rant. Come find me in the MSP discord and my peers there and I will help you understand what I mean by this last one. We will also encourage you, and help you learn the ropes of your role here as a curator or content provider. We will help you have fun, but we will also hold you accountable for your actions on the network or your lack thereof which help or hinder you in the process. Not like cops, but more like affectionate friends, or aunts and uncles. :D

When you arrive, if I'm in the room, ask me "SirCork? What is #3!" and we'll go from there. I'm asking you to take an initiative. Folks who read this post, read this comment and follow through on this invitation in #3 here, will learn, they have already taken the steps toward being successful here, and I'll tell you what I mean by that and why when you get there.

See you in the Steem!
@SirCork

Hello @sircork! Hope all fine on your side! Wow the interview was a great read for me! Amazing answers, well sircork's style!

You cook meals, @progressivechef, and I usually just cook myself into hot water. :)

LOL! You cook yourself in hot water to be more tender!??? Hahaha!
I like your style!
