RE: Teens Being Exposed to the Internet, Contributed by @JassennessaJ
This is a very good topic, thanks so much buddy.
Indeed the world is evolving, and we need to be moving by its speed in order to be able to catch up with the speed by which it's changing.
As a teenager, I was given an hour opportunity to visit cyber cafe on every Saturday, nothing like smartphone, and only few houses have access to internet. Everything is done in cyber cafe.
Saturday to me then was like a Christmas... Lol
Back to the topic in question.
Everything that is happening in the present age is a testimony on its own. Teenagers should not be stopped, but like you suggested, they can only be guided.
A lot of things they know now due to their unlimited access to internet, we don't know most of those things then, a lot of today's adult even find it so difficult to adapt to the speed at which the world is moving.... Smile
Restricting our children will definitely have negative effects on them, because they won't be able to catch up with their other counterparts.
As parents, let's try and give them the basic moral foundation, it will help them to stand in this ever changing world.
Let's be close to them as well, let's ensure we are asking about what they learn with the mind to learn from it and guide them if need be, if we do it right, they will be open to us.
the advantages are more than the disadvantages, we can't stop them from taking the advantages just because of the little disadvantages, we can only guide against those little disadvantages.
Thank you and God bless you.
