Instagram is only my favorite social media platform of all times! It’s fun, it’s relaxing, it’s exotic!

I log into my Insta account every single day, in fact, multiple times a day and I never get bored!

And ok! If you use it only as a personal profile, you wouldn’t have to do much with it! As long as you follow your friends and share beautiful moments you are A-OK!

You wouldn’t, for example, need to know the right porting hours, the proper days of the week to post or have a calendar in order to know when you need to upload your next photo!

What about the rest of us, who use Instagram as a basic tool for our business?

These are the secrets I want to share with you today! So, let’s do this!

1. First off: We upload our photos on days and times that our audience is online, so we can get an immediate response!

How can you be aware of this? Just think, when are YOU online? According to surveys this is one of the elements, that connects us with our audience! The moments we log in on Instagram! So, the next time you won’t know when it’s the right time to upload a photo, just notice the hours you are online!

• Of course, the most advanced way for this would be Instagram analytics. You create a Facebook page with your name {it can even be empty or non published, with no problem}. You connect it to your Instagram account and immediately Instagram becomes a business profile that shows you all that you need in terms of hours, days and audiences!

1. Step Two: Once we upload our photo and start seeing the number of likes and comments increasing, WE DO NOT REPLY TO COMMENTS AND WE DO NOT LIKE COMMENTS the day we upload our photo!

Yes, I know, no one is advising this. But here’s the thing…

When is it a good time to tap like or respond to comments? This is only the next time you upload a photo! Yes, it may sound strange, but this way, every time someone sees that there is an interaction from us, they are much more likely to visit our profile again and engage with the new content we’ve uploaded!

*, Of course, we always respond to the comments! When someone has devoted even one minute of his time for us, the least we can do to show our gratitude is to do the same! We respond to the value that someone gives us, with value!!! Only in this way we are able to create a perfect community. Only if we care!

1. The last tip to increase engagement in your profile, and perhaps the most important one: We upload at least 2 stories for each new post!

Yes! And I am talking about 2 different kinds of stories that come with a very specific form!

The first is a photo of our profile, with the last post hidden, plus the tag of our account (e.g. @ioannafo) with a prompt to see what is it about!

The second story will be our new post, which we will share it as a story (a choice offered by Instagram to all of us, at the bottom right of every photo). This way the post is clickable in our stories even if we do not have 10K followers!!

In this kind of story, it would also be a good idea to hide some information so your followers have a reason to go see your new photo. * For example, if your photo is a picture of yourself you can hide your face with an emoji and ask them to see what your real expression was!
