Don't Worry...Be 😊
I used to worry…. A LOT! I actually bought into my own story that ‘this is just who I am, I’m a worrier’.
But then I began my journey of spiritual and personal growth and learned just how powerful our thoughts and words really are so I took a closer look as to WHY I was a worrier.
Just for fun, let’s start with the definition of worrying according to Merriam-Webster:
- 1 : dialectal British : strangle, choke
 - 2 : to move, proceed, or progress by unceasing or difficult effort : struggle
 - 3 : to feel or experience concern or anxiety : fret worrying about his health

YIKES! There is nothing about this that is desirable for sure, so why did I do it? Why did I worry so much? Where did it all begin? So I decided to look into that and here’s what I discovered, I was simply mimicking behavior I had observed.
This is my Dad
He loved my two sisters and I very much, and he worried about us always. In fact, at least once a day he would tell us, “You know I love you right? And you know I worry about you.” So it’s possible that somehow I associated love with worry.
But Dad didn’t just worry about us three girls; he worried about everything, so much so that he often suffered needlessly with ulcers.
Once I figured all this out it was too late to help my Dad, he crossed over several years prior, but it wasn’t too late to help myself! I do have to admit, it’s a little difficult to quit worrying cold turkey but I was persistent. Every time I would catch myself beginning to worry about something I would stop and remind myself that my thoughts are energy! If this is something that is new to you just bear with me for a moment because you really should learn this.
Yes, it’s true, our thoughts are Energy, and they are Vibration. So when we think a thought it doesn’t just sit around inside out heads, it literally goes out into the Universe and creates the thing we were thinking of. You don’t have to take my word for this science has already proven it. If you have any doubts I encourage you to do some research into quantum physics.

But the good news is that you can also use this information in your favor, which means you can CHOOSE to think about the things or outcomes that you DO want rather than the ones you don’t want.
I won’t go into a full explanation right now about why we don’t instantly have everything we think about, that will be coming in the future though… But this post is about worry and how focusing on things that you don’t want will result in you getting things you don’t want. Maybe not those exact things, but undesirable things for sure.
Just like with my Dad, you can literally cause a negative physical condition to happen inside your body simply because of your thoughts. But let’s take a look at this from a few different angles, starting with a very popular Universal Law, the Law of Attraction. Simply put, the Law of Attraction states, “That which is like unto itself is drawn.” So, of COURSE, my Dad worried about everything, he literally ‘got the ball rolling’ every day when he told us that he worried about us!
Once he allowed himself to focus on that he had set his vibration for the day so he naturally kept thinking of more things to worry about, and the more things he worried about, the stronger his ‘worry vibration’ got! So he was to the point that he was using most of his waking hours worrying about something, which is truly sad because that prevented him from being able to enjoy so many of the wonderful things in life.
Luckily it’s never too late to change, well, ok, I guess for my Dad it is, but he’s happy now, he’s with my Mom again.
But for me, it wasn’t too late to change!

Like I said, it didn’t happen overnight, but the effort I put into it brought me so many rewards and benefits that go way beyond simply not worrying anymore!
I am going to share with you a simple statement that I say to myself every morning when I wake up, in fact; I have been saying this daily since 2009 and the more I say it, the better my life gets!
Are you ready? Here it is:
Life is so easy
I invite you to give this a try, for the next 30 days, first thing in the morning, before you even get out of bed, begin saying, “Life is so easy”. Keep repeating it until you get too busy to think about it. But then the next morning, say it again! Yes, it’s TRUE! Your words and thoughts carry a vibration that will attract to you circumstances and situations that are of a similar vibration, so why not use this to your advantage? Makes sense to me!
If you are thinking this is waaay to simple to have any real effect, then I CHALLENGE you to do it! Because I have proven in my own life that we don't have to struggle and fight to live the life we want, and I would love nothing more than for you to experience that too!
And if you need a little encouragement throughout your day, well, you can put this song on repeat 😉

Great advice! I'll try this experience. I believe that our thoughts and energies have the power to attract things. "Life is so easy"... I was needing some words like this.
Happy to hear that you are going to try this @caroliny 😊
The statement is powerful and easy to remember, but the ✨magic ✨ happens with the daily practice!
I look forward to hearing feedback from you 💙 🌻

The universe brings us what we need at exactly the right moment. I will 100% try out this life is so easy challenge. What do I have to lose? The law of attraction is very real, I will use your advice to change my thought process and make life easy. Life actually is unbearably hard for me right now. I used to be a worrier to the absolute extreme but I have been so much better since I began my awakening.
So happy to hear that you have begun your journey @magicalmoonlight! As you discovered, it begins by being aware of what we are doing (to ourselves) 💙
I'm excited for you to start giving effort towards consciously changing your thought process 😊 don't be too hard on yourself, it is the consistency you are going for here, not the results. Results will come, but your 'work' is in changing the thought process! Allow the foundation to form.
I look forward to hearing feedback about your experiences! 🌻
Consistency is my biggest downfall with everything. I will be working very hard to change my thought process even further :)
Nice read and this advice crosses over into many other spectrums. I too am a worrier, but I view it as a positive act.
I worry because of the want to move past former mistakes. An example being; I am an avid hiker and am always the one over prepared. Dispite this, I always forget or lose something important. My worry helps me to prevent this, but in other area's my worry can be crippling.
Living Mindfully is key and controlling your thoughts and perspective helps. Thank you for your wise words. They help me remember what's important and the thoughts that can get lost in the back of one's mind.
Thank you for sharing @notconvinced.
I understand what you mean about being prepared, and that something people used to tease me about, they used to ask me if I was a boy scout 🙄 "Always be prepared"
But for me, it crossed the line into obsessive, only you know where you are on that spectrum, and most importantly, whether or not it is something you want to change.
My purpose here is to share what I have learned in a way that inspires others like you to take a look at different aspects of their life and remind them that they can change things that are no longer serving them. 😊 💙 🌻
--- “There is a great difference between worry and concern. A worried person sees a problem, and a concerned person solves a problem.”

Agreed! As they say, " everything in moderation." As long as you are controlled by you, you're good to go. It's also important to evolve infinitely as well.
Great post, my friend.
💙💙💙 Absolutely! So happy you enjoyed the post 😊 and for sure, evolve infinitely!
