Do you sometimes wake up and feel like you cant achieve anything great? Do you sometimes see your mates, peers who grew up with you in less favourable circumstances doing much better than you and having more wealth and you feel like you have failed in every sphere of your life? Do you drive a beat-down jalopy and see your mates driving the state of the art cars or jeeps and you just cover your face in shame? Do you stay in a rough ghetto and your mates or peers stay in the luxurious estate or mansions and you feel that you cant amount to much?

Or are you single, searching and lonely and you get invitations every week from friends inviting you to come to their weddings or child's dedications? Or are you stone broke and soaking your garri and you see your mates going to the choice Chinese or Italian restaurant ordering gourmet meals that you only see or get to eat in your dreams? Do I just go on and on to say how unlucky you feel and think life has dealt you a hard blow?

Newsflash! I have something to share with you. Do you know that these friends or mates of yours have one or more challenges they are fighting or dealing with which gives them sleepless nights every day? Do you know these people may have health problems, relationship issues which can make them shed secret tears of sorrow daily and depresses them greatly? Do you know these same people may have their children, spouse, or close relative of them going through some form of hell and they have to bear the brunt of it?

Be grateful.

See the truth is no body has a problem free life. Everyone has their cross to carry. Everyone has issues or challenges which they are facing and wishing and praying will get better. Everyone has a taste of sorrow or daily dose of pain they have to bear. My late dad used to say to me," Accept what your Lord has given you and give thanks." "Be grateful, count your blessings and name them one by one, because the person who you think is lucky sees you as blessed and wishes to be you."
