Steemfest : Be inspired.
I watched many of the YouTube videos from SteemFest and I understand why these meetups are so invigorating and why they give people a new sense of pride in the Steem blockchain and the Steem community. The videos highlighted some very solid improvements and some amazing innovations. I suggest you watch some of them and skip topics that don’t interest you right now.
One of the many interesting presentations was by @aggroed regarding Steem-engine, Tokens, improvements in the Steem-Engine front end and improvements in the Steem-Engine exchange. I was especially excited about a Steem-Dollar pair and being able to connect your bank account to the Steem-Engine dex.
I continue to be amazed by the pace of development and the onboarding of people on the Steem-Engine tribes. SteemMonsters is a perfect illustration of utility bringing users to your blockchain to buy your cryptocurrency and support your blockchain. SteemMonsters is now the sixth largest Dapp in the website, State of the Dapps! Very importantly this ranking includes all the DApps on the Ethereum chain. Plus another Steem-Engine Tribe SteemCoinPan is now in the Top 109 Dapps in the site at #88.
I should remind everyone that blockchain utility is the Holy Grail sought out by all cryptocurrency blockchains. Steem has 12 of the top DApps by usage and transactions. Usage and transactions are synonyms for utility.
I think the Steemfest mattered because it gave the community a chance to get together, see firsthand presentations which show what a great blockchain this is and showcase some of the great DApps on the Steem blockchain and show that the blockchain has a bright future.
Don’t take my word for it, watch the videos and be inspired.
