Hello fellow steemians, welcome to my blog today. Hope you're doing great!
Today, I want to start a series on writing who have broke through odds and challenges to make something significant with their lives and that has thrust them to the global stage. This is culled from a program I participated and implemented tittled "FEMALE AND MORE" and I deem it necessary to share these stories with this community. They are exclusively women who have overcome the stereotypes labelled on them by society. You'll be inspired and motivated to be that person you've ever wanted to be.
So today, I introduce to you my first icon, Sandra Aguebor.

Commonly referred to as the ‘Lady Mechanic’, from Edo State, Nigeria. She was the first female mechanic in Nigeria at a time mechanic was seen to be a man’s job. But she trailed a path for herself by herself. She had been a car mechanic for over 30years. She broke through the norm. She undauntedly worked hard.

She said,
Being in a profession dominated by men, I had to work five times harder than men to prove myself.

Sandra has established a Not-For-Profit organization and uses it to train women to earn better livehood and be fnancially independent.

She targets women ranging from sex workers, victims of sex traficking, school dropouts, etc.

He story re-echoes the fact that you can be anything you want to be and you have no excuse whatsoever not to pursue your dreams.
Rise up and pursue that dream in your heart.

My dear, women in history have proven themselves beyond every reasonable doubt to be great.
I have seen a woman who does conductor for town service bus to put food on the table, i have also seen a woman who drives bus, keke.
I have seen woman who is a DJ and does it very well, I have seen a woman who raps well in in music. I have seen a woman who is a doctor, engineer.
I have also seen a woman who is a Pharmacist and she does her things with difference guess who is that? Is you my darling Evelyn Foster @evarich.

Dear @evarich, society has wanted to separate women from work because they were the ones who looked after the home while men went hunting or fishing. But in the current century these steroeotypes are no longer valid. Women played a leading role in announcing in the first place the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
