More platitudes.

capitalism has lifted more people out of poverty than any other system in human history

No. Technology has done that.

Proof any of the points you made here. Not to me, to yourself. How can you actually believe all this? How do you square rich people not taking anything from us, right after we've bailed out the billionaires with our taxes? How do you not see that you're already living in a socialist system? How many billions of subsidies go to the major industries each year? You just have to choose which kind of socialism you want: socialism for the rich, as it is now, or socialism for people like you and me? You exhibit exactly how people vote against their own interests by repeating the platitudes we've been spoon fed for decades.

Sort:

Chroni capitalism is not capitalism at all, it should be called chroni socialism because that is exactly what it is. I can't even have a conversation with you because you lack even the slightest understanding of finance and economics.

I agree, the government is the cause of corporate corruption, bailouts and fiat based monetary system that benefit the rich. NOT capitalism. If you walk in to an aaa alchoholic meeting, put a bottle of booze down on the table, than come back in 30 minutes to find everyone drunk. Who's at fault? the supplier or the drunks? The government is supplying the economy with cheap Booze/money, they are the cause not the corporations.

the government is the cause of corporate corruption

Do you even understand what you're saying here? "Corporate corruption". Not "government corruption". Right? It's the government's fault that they're bribed by corporations? Or does the fact that corporations bribe politicians mean that corporations, at the very least, share in the guilt here?

Chroni capitalism is not capitalism at all, it should be called chroni socialism because that is exactly what it is.

I said as much: "You just have to choose which kind of socialism you want: socialism for the rich, as it is now, or socialism for people like you and me." There is no such thing as the capitalism you wish for, it exists in the heads of brainwashed libertarians alone. You arrive at your erroneous conclusions through an often seen form of severe reductionism: "socialism" is the government handing out "free" stuff, and "capitalism" is free markets. Both are wrong. Capitalism is a mode of production; "markets" are present in ANY economic model and they're never "free". This is a 10,000 year old truth my friend, and as long as you can not understand that very basic and easy to understand fact, discussing this further will be impossible indeed.
