Arcane Arms Race?

Telepathy, telekinesis, mind reading, we all know that these are terms best reserved for a good story or to be used as a form of harmless entertainment by magicians. Or are they? If this was all fantasy and entertainment, why then would the world's largest and best known intelligence agency, the CIA, waste several decades and millions of tax payer's dollars on researching these things, and even train agents in esoteric activities like ESP (extrasensory perception) and "remote viewing"?

They always come up with some fancy name for their projects. Operation Paperclip, the Secret Intelligence Program that Brought Nazi Scientists to America, like Wernher von Braun, Project MKUltra which gave us the famous film The Manchurian Candidate, and the Stargate Project, the one we'll be discussing in this post. We all know that much of the work done with regards to gaining and maintaining control over large numbers of people is done in the dark, behind closed doors, is smoke filled rooms with shady persons devising even shadier plans. Well... That's the imagery associated with these things at least ;-)

It's a well known fact that during the years of the Cold War the two superpowers were entangled in two popular races: the nuclear arms race and the space race. It's important to know that these publicly broadcast races were both serving the same underlying goal, and that is to align the mindsets of large numbers of people with the intent of maintaining control over them. Much more important than the real physical aspects of these races, the missiles, rockets, soldiers and astronauts, was the psychological aspect of binding the peoples of nations to one of the two warring ideologies. The powers that be on either side had little consideration for the fear this spread among their peoples; if you're my age you're old enough to remember the reaction to the film The Day After, or the commercials in which you were taught to "duck and cover" in case of a nuclear attack alarm. WE now know that much of it was sheer fear-mongering as reports come in about how the Pentagon exaggerated the Soviet threat long after they'd effectively lost the war. (Mutually Assured Destruction, the craziest excuse for "balance" ever conjured up).

The Stargate Project was the exact opposite; this was kept secret and was not intended to control the minds of the many, but to use the minds of a few to aid in dominating the ideological adversary. The way I've heard this explain is that the Americans found out that the Russians were involved in research on telepathy; the goals was for their military to be able to communicate through mind reading as opposed to radio-waves, which could be intercepted and eavesdropped upon. And thus the race I call the Arcane Arms Race began, culminating in the 1978 Stargate Project that ran for two decades. Although it was cancelled in the 1990s with the official reason that it was "unsuccessful," chances are that the project has just gone underground again.

The scientists, mostly physicists surprisingly, involved with this research that started at the Stanford Research Institute are now finally able to tell about the things they did for the CIA, and what they've accomplished. The above linked video is a banned (I wonder why) TED talk by one of the leading scientists involved, and below I'll link the trailer of the recently released documentary Third Eye Spies. Their findings were amazing; some people can not only guess correctly what's hidden in your back pocket, but also describe what happens thousands of miles away, or in the past and even the future. Distance in space and time seem to play no role in remote viewing...

Now, before you go ahead and dismiss all this as apparent hogwash, consider the thousands of years reports and stories about past life experiences, reincarnation, out of body experiences and so on have existed in every culture of every habitable region on the planet have been with us. In one of the interviews I saw about Ingo Swann, reported to be one of the best remote viewers, it was described how he painted from his head an image depicting the rings of Jupiter several months before these rings were observed in 1979 by the Voyager 1 space probe. You may be familiar with the fact that some ancient cultures seemed to have a fast knowledge about the celestial bodies like the Sun, stars, the Moon and even planets that were re-discovered in more recent history. Could it be that these people were better at these psychic gymnastics like remote viewing? Could it be that consciousness suffers from quantum nonlocality and that our physical brain just acts as an antenna to pick up it's signals, even outside space and time? It's such a shame that these fascinating studies and experiments are done in so much secrecy...
