The homeless in Tulsa are under attack, and we lost one Man this week to the cold!

I am having a hard time not screaming tonight. The RINO (Republican In Name Only) Mayor has declared war on our homeless population here in Tulsa. Two things happened this week that raise my blood pressure!

First, an Man died from the cold, and second a Man was beaten and robbed; Both were homeless that we fed.

This man, IMHO, has a heart of stone, and is two faced. On one hand, he claims he is helping the Homeless as in this speech (with his fingers crossed?); while he has them arrested and harassed.

While he says he is working to help, he orders Police to clean out established "camps", by stealing everything they have, and taking it to the dump! IF you take all their warm bedding and clothes, and the temperature hits 14 degrees like it did last Monday and Tuesday, people freeze. I am no legal expert, but could this be manslaughter?

Hundreds of blankets and sleeping bags we provided are now buried by this man!

Here is the first part of my complaint!

“I’m really sad about this because there is really no need for anybody to be out in the cold like this. Our shelter is open during this cold weather time. We want people to be inside. We will work with you getting inside,” said Interim Director Mack Holtom, who says he remembers Holder.

“He was probably someone we would classify a chronic homeless person. Probably homeless over a year, or had a lot of episodes over the years, as well,”’ said Holtom.

Emergency workers found Holder, near the Daily Grill of the Hyatt Hotel.

Downtown shelters are working together to keep the homeless safe and warm. At the Day Center, they are allowing intoxicated persons to enter, as long as they behave, according to Holtom. He says attendance at the shelter is up, with the cold temperatures setting in.

The second complaint is still his fault, IMHO, I just heard tonight about another Homeless Man who was Beaten badly and robbed, by other homeless that had lost their stuff to the mayor's policies. They took his warm clothes and bedding and tried to steal his bicycle, but couldn't get it loose. He will live, but he is badly hurt. We have replaced his clothes and bedroll, just hoping that he is not robbed again.

It appears that this Mayor has effectively shut down all Homeless housing assistance by fur balling all the paperwork. I have a homeless Man sleeping on my couch right now, so he doesn't freeze! This is because all the normal plans to find him housing dried up, and I have No idea how long he will need to stay here.

Our count at the homeless meal has been dropping as this war progresses. The homeless are being forced to hide what little they have, from the Mayor of Tulsa! How pitiful is that?
