There is a practiced manouver, used by Russian Fighters, to confuse Radar. Our newer radar will dismiss a target that behaves unlike an aircraft or a missile. They have practiced standing on their tail, and balancing their thrust; to literally become momentarily stationary.
Our newer radar, then assigns the as a non-target, even when they return to normal flight.

Yep, I think I got to the bottom of this one.
I only mentioned Russian because it was
clearly filmed in Russia. I thought it may
have been some kind of advanced tech.
I just added this reply, because it showed up in a trade magazine. Our best radar was loosing Russian planes. they finally caught one doing this tail stand. Now they are rewriting the AI to fix this low tech solution.
