Finding inspiring shows for kids to watch without all the propaganda..
We don't do cable TV, and the kids usually watch learning shows when they get a little screen time each day..
but, sometimes they need something a little more fantastic, something with a positive message, and no propaganda that
i can see..
Let's take the way back machine to 1976...
The Old Tarzan of the Jungle cartoon can be found on Dailymotion, and it fits the bill...
Most of the time Tarzan is helping the Jungle creatures, and freeing slaves and such.. No Blood No Death.. Just Righteous indignation, and happy endings..
We watched episode 3 "Tarzan and the Golden Lion" this morning..

There are many ape like humanoids in the old Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan Books, and the cartoon stays true to the book series in regards to the names of these creatures. The "mangani" were one type of Anthropoid Apes that raised Tarzan they were his tribe, and had their own primitive language, which Tarzan speaks.....
Sheeta = panther
Numa = Lion
Manu = monkey
Bolgani = gorilla
Tantor = elephant
hando = hornet
baru = deer
unk = go
Another type of Ape man is the "Bolmangani" they speak a gruff english and are even more human acting than the mangani.. but are evolved from the gorillas instead of the Great Apes.
When asked, "Aren't you afraid?",
Tarzan responds. "sometimes we must face our fears to do what is necessary."
of special note is the little anthropoid monkey people who we meet in this episode; They have always been slaves, and feel they are too small and insignificant to resist their enslavement..
Tarzan tells them that even little "hando" the hornet can drive away the fiercest enemy, when they work together..
However, Tarzan states that he cannot help them if they do not wish to be free...
Next time you are thinking of finding a show for your kids to watch, perhaps you would consider, taking the way back machine to the 1970's when the propaganda Factory was still limited to prime time...LoL
