Defense Contractors and Human Trafficking Part 1

The Pentagon is now at 21 Trillion Dollars of which it can not account for. That is an astronomical sun of money. This year alone the Congress authorized a 60 Billion dollar increase for 2018 pushing it's fiscal year budget to over 700 Billion dollars.

Not only is this the world's largest military defense budget, larger than all the countries in the world combined. They can never account for a nickel they spend, and U.S. Tax Payers are supporting companies that participate in Human Trafficking.

The U.S. Taxpayer literally spends large sums of money for Human Trafficking! I said it twice, because as we struggle in a stagnant wage economy, and many of us barely survived the fall out from 2008, companies are making money hand over fist and taking our hard earned tax dollars and participating in Trafficking Humans!

In all my research on this subject, to this very day, Defense Contractors overseas still participate in Human Trafficking, and they are receiving millions of dollars in contracts from the U.S. Pentagon. Figures show that 80% of the human trafficking is labor related, and 20% of the human trafficking is sex crime related. Many of the companies that commit the crimes today are subcontractors which gives big Corporations like Dyncorp which subs out the labor an out when the subcontractor is caught in a violation.

Defense Contractors have been investigated for Human Trafficking since the 90's. I will focus on the Conflict in former Yugoslavia between Bosnia and Serbia. This conflict brought a lot of attention to the fact Human Trafficking was occuring where ever Defense Contracting bases were established, and that it is no surprise to the U.S. Government these violations are common, especially considering this happened over 20 years ago.

During the conflict between Bosnia and Serbia in former Yugoslavia, Kathryn Bolkovak was an investigator for the United Nations through Dyncorp. She had incredible amounts of evidence to convict a volume of people for human trafficking crimes. These crimes included Dyncorp employee's buying and selling girls as young as 12 years old. Everytime she tried to do her job and push for real legal action her cases were put to a stop by her Superiors, and Leadership at the United Nations. Eventually Dyncorp falsely accused her of doctoring time sheets, and dismissed her. She became a whistle blower and took Dyncorp to court in the United Kingdom, and won her case for wrongful termination of her job.

A quote from Kathryn Bolkovak on her investigation's while employed by Dyncorp in former Yugoslavia," The cases involved the officers from many foreign countries, including the USA, Pakistan, Germany, Romania, Ukraine, government contractors, and local organized criminals. The human rights investigators were never allowed to fully investigate, the suspects were immediately removed from the mission or transferred to other missions. The young women were simply sent back to their home countries".

Another Dyncorp whistle blower during the same time period as Kathryn Bolkovak was Ben Johnston. Ben made a case that the buying of prostitutes, which many of the girls were clearly underage was so common among DynCorp employees at Camp Comanche, outside Tuzla, Bosnia, that he was made to report the problem to the U.S. Army's Criminal Investigative Command.

During the peace keeping missions during the 90's in former Yugoslavia woman were being bought and sold as human chattel for $700 for full ownership, and brothels were established anywhere there were defense contracting bases established.

13 DynCorp employees had been sent home from Bosnia, and seven of the Dyncorp employee's were fired for purchasing women or participating in other prostitution-related activities. Despite having large amounts of evidence, none of the DynCorp employees sent home have faced criminal prosecution.

The amount of evidence against Dyncorp employee's buying and selling women and working with the local Serbian Mafia in Human Trafficking is shocking. What's even more shocking is years later a similar episode unfolded in Colombia with Dyncorp employee's, and than Afghanistan even later, and still human trafficking crimes were commited by Dyncorp employee's.

I barely touch on the problems exposed by Ben Johnston, and Kathryn Bolkovak. I'm imploring anyone who reads this to read the links provided for the real story. I put together a blog post that consolidates the real evidence for you to read and get the real truth at hand.

Resteeming. Thanks for researching and compiling so much source material on the issue. I've heard DOD 'rewards' it's elite with children. The sexual abuse of children by government officials has been going on for decades. It's time to end the federal government. It's just too corrupt to reform now.

Anytime! all my posts are as much for people to do there own research, and read what I read, more than what I wrote, I'm still working on how to write posts, I kinda got a format going but trying to find a way to give the information in a short enough way to peak interest but trying to make it interactive with the links. Appreciate the feedback Thanks again!

Like you, I like to provide source link references. I put them at the bottom of posts, like footnotes. There aren't a lot of formatting options in Steemit. I'd be overjoyed if I could do link images. That way, clicking on images would take readers to the source webpage or video. I also wish DTube, DLive and BitChute videos embedded automatically, like YT videos.

Your use of images is nice. I know it takes time to crop and save them. So far, I've not worked out a way to size images with code. Uniformity of width helps keep the page organized and pleasing to the eye.

I've seen recommendations for use of gifs and dividers. I don't recommend flashing images on blog pages. It really distracts the eye and mind. The offering is information, not entertainment. Mind you, if you were offering entertainment, then flashing gifs would be OK.

You inspired me to go look for more formatting tips and I came across this page with source script to show how to set images to the left or right and run text down one side or the other. This 'simulates' columns and could be used to balance out a page with a number of images.

But, I'm yet to discover how to add sizing and padding. We'd have to crop all images and size them, then add a strip of white space to the side the text would run against.

Here's the page I found the information on:

https://steemit.com/steemit-help/@krnel/how-to-align-images-in-steemit-posts-left-right-and-center

And that's another point about pagination - even column length. Actually, I'm just writing to show what happens when the text over-runs the height of the image. 😁

Appreciate the information it's hard to get feedback especially being so new and not having a network built yet, I like the column idea, that was pretty sharp I'll be sure to bookmark you so maybe we can share information later on, take care!

I started an account last year, but didn't get too involved until the censorship on Google went over the edge. I'd seen spam filtering there for a couple years, but didn't know that over 9 million videos had been pulled down since Jan 2018. I just like participating in Citizen Journalism. That's a term from Lee Stranaham/OpenMind. He has a YT channel, but I don't think he's on the decentralized platforms yet. Anyway, like you, I just like to share what I learn with others. That's why I'm here.

I just found out how to change image size.
