Is Donald Trump a Fascist?

in #informationwar6 years ago (edited)

Reading The New York Times, which I do not do frequently, I was able to find the following article:

>>Is Donald Trump a Fascist? <<

I have to say several things about it. First, I feel obliged to express myself against the writer of the article, who lacks any minimum capacity to distinguish one political movement from another, and who only allows himself to be guided by false appearances that do not represent really significant and transcendent issues to qualify a politician like Donald Trump within the tag "Fascist", because this is the ultimate goal of that article, continue with the promotion of the idea that Trump is fascist, his goal is to pigeonhole Trump to a tag with such bad connotations as that, to then use the fallacy of the straw man and attack his personal figure, and all his followers.

Second, I must criticize the writer of the book referred to in the article, and which I will not mention, since he is an idiot without the ability to understand the realities of different political movements throughout history, but only he tries to make money by taking advantage of the circumstances and selling a book, which says that Donald Trump is fascist, to the misfits of the American left.

By just saying that the Ku Klux Kan is fascist, it lets me see that the ultimate goal of such an accusation is not to make a sincere observation, but that its objective is to put everything that is the enemy of the left under a label with negative connotations, in this case, fascism. To say that the Ku Klux Klan or the segregationist movements are fascist, is stupid, because both are prior to fascism, that is, what these gentlemen say is an anachronism, in any case, facism would be segregationist or have similarities with the Ku Klux Klan, but not the other way around. The objective of them is not to make a real observation about events, but to place everything they consider negative under the same tag, a tag that in turn is very unpopular, in this way, all the traits that are considered negative, and that many times they are defended by very diverse movements and that they are opposed to each other, they are all together, in such a way that by accusing someone with that tag, people make an association between the person to whom they want to place the tag and everything that tag means.

For that, and much more I consider that both the New York Times article and the book to which it refers, is a shit intellectually speaking, that only serves to continue promoting the progressive agenda against Donald Trump and against the American people.

I must also say that I do not understand how books with arguments so empty and lacking in intellectuality and depth of thoughts come to be sold, it really displeases me, and leaves in evidence the intellectual lack of our time and the banal way in which it is assumed the story and political judgments are issued.

Luckily, the book lacks the necessary depth to be taken into account by the true intellectuals, and also lacks the typical simplicity of the masses, so that its content will end up in the container where pseudo-intellectual beggars take their food.

Finally, if you entered the post looking for a direct answer to the question of the title, I must tell you that the answer to that question is a resounding NO. Only an idiot lacking in knowledge would say that Trump is a fascist.

Sort:

You don't need to put flags on Muslim girls, they wear them already. Of course it's total idiocy to call trump a fascist, fascists are socialists, Trump is a capitalist. It's funny, ww2 was essentially a battle between to types of socialism, national and international, fascists and communists are both socialists they only disagree about whether there should be separate countries or a global new world order. Clearly the NYT has thrown its lot in with the NWO international socialists by incorrectly trying to shoehorn their enemies into the fascist camp.

And of course the NYT is doing a dandy job of proving Godwin right.

Expecting intellectual discourse from the left is increasingly rare (perhaps all the intelligent ones have abandoned a losing ideology by now...) lol

I guess you're right.
