Amazon’s Facial Recognition Tool Put to Good Use!

US lawmakers and the American Civil liberties Union (ACLU) raised the alarm about Amazon’s Facial Recognition Tool. Now, you thought it was because they have finally started doing their job, did you?



US lawmakers and ACLU protecting privacy and human right? Of course not! What Universe do you live in? The alarm was raised after Amazon’s facial recognition tool identified 28 members of Congress as police suspects, matching them with a mugshot archive! And they say “wrongly” matched. But the majority of comments under this video says it was not a mistake, praising the results of AI recognition!

According to the ACLU, AI has also displayed heavy racial bias, disproportionately matching lawmakers of color with the mugshots. I wonder, who made racist AI? And who will have to program exceptions into “AI”?

Looks like those recognition systems need some severe tweaking :)
