I have no idea what you're saying about the security cameras. Can you get reasonably priced ones?
IR (Infared) cameras see in the dark with IR Light sources, and they are usually wired because of the power needed on the IR Lights. The RF linked cameras are often battery powered.
The DVR is a Digital Video Recorder, and the more memory you can get inside the DVR, the more video it can record....
