Weekly Informationwar Discord Discussion + Action Items Feb 24, 2018

We held the second Information War brainstorming meeting on Feb 24, 2018. We expect these to continue on a weekly basis around the same time each Saturday.

Agenda of how to expand the Information War Community
Action Items
• Make a post within the next 7 days to your followers about @informationwar, why they should join, how they can help, include links to Our Purpose and how to Delegate Steempower, etc. – All can participate
• Brainstorm a new standard comment for the @informationwar account to leave when it curates. – @Informationwar to create a post that asks everyone for feedback
• Reach out to people you follow who you think would like to join #informationwar with this link https://tinyurl.com/aboutinfowar and let them know about what we do!!! Don't spam it though!! Please only send to people who you think are already doing this type of work or would be interested– All can participate
• Weekly podcast where all are invited to join, set time/date – Informationwar account to create a weekly post letting people know about podcast(truthforce as organizer), what was talked about in past podcasts(summarized in text, who was there, etc)
• Image for Discord informationwar needs whitebackground, currently hard to see because it has a grey background – @Stevecoins I believe needs to make this change as he owns the discord server
• Resources post to be made, something that has all of the most important links/guides/video tutorials for fighting the informationwar - This is to be posted on the @informationwar account after working with other members/community feedback, a work in progress currently
• Text guide for delegating Steem Power + simplification, may be a way to make it easier – @wakeupnd has found an easier way to link it, to be included in Resources Post
• Text/picture guide for #streemian – @Truthforce to make short blog post and link to be added to Resources Post
• Text/picture guide for #steemauto – @Metalmag25 or @Truthforce to make short blog post and link to be added to Resources Post
Ideas Discussed
• @Truthforce talked about the importance of reaching out to people on reddit and other platforms.
• Recruiting blitz made an action item above, plan to reach out to your friends and make a post on your own blog about the informationwar
• @metalmag25 to help with translations from English to Spanish so that he can help his fellow Venezuelans in their Informationwar
• Weekly podcasts for anyone willing to join, to be posted on dtube/youtube/BITchute and other places
• Updating the informationwar comment that we leave when we curate, so that we can have a short message about what we do/are, and how they can delegate steempower, @wakeupnd found a simpler way of delegating steempower and we can provide links in the comment
• Catchphrase or short comment for each curation comment
• Reaching out to whales/dolphins for steem delegation, for minnows they are more likely to need their steempower so we can setup a curation trail for informationwar, that way they can build their steempower and still upvote us
• Putting all of our heads together to build a common community, some of us have the same followers who are dolphins/whales and we may be able to recruit them to the cause
• Ausbitbank is a great help to us and we really appreciate him being there from the beginning :)
• Getting better in markdown or in html... a sign at the bottom... I don't know... something that makes us more professionals.
• Adding an informationwar tag at the bottom of everyone of my posts. I think it looks nice.
• Streemian/Steemauto curation trails setup for minnows/newbies to follow, we could probably offer both ways
For the accounts with lower amounts of steempower they probably don't want to delegate because they need all the power they can get so they don't run into bandwidth issues
• Mentioning to people that they can promote their links in the post promotion section of the discord, so they have a good incentives to be active and participate in discord/steemit
sounds like quite a bit of activity, keep up the good work
Apologies for missing meeting. Was AFK. Had just talked about the brainstorming meetings with Steve before that. Pls advise if this wknd is a go, also. Congrats on your ascensionto the top @TruthForce. I've been communicating with some top Youtube names with the end goal of bringing em over here. Will analyze your whole post tmrw and contact you, as today I'm very short on time. Thanks for the curation.
no prob, I (stevescoins) missed it too. there are usually one or two of us on Discord at any given time
