Did Trump Surprise his Advisers with his Latest Decision to Withdraw from Northeast Syria?

US corporate media aka Pentagon mouthpiece and the Democrats, the neocons, and everybody who wants to throw an arrow on the embattled criminal Trump are claiming he surprised them with his latest decision to withdraw his forces from northeast Syria and abandon NATO Kurdish stooges who wanted to create another Israel there.

Is that true?

A member of the pro Israel Quora Q & A wiki social platform asked this long question: Did Trump consult with his National Security Council, the Joint Chiefs, or intelligence agencies before agreeing to withraw U.S. troops from Syria? Or was this a decision he made while on the phone with the Turkish President? Why would he do that?

Since the issue is about my country and I was tagged to reply, I did leave an answer there and this is what I wrote, which I'm copying here to preserve it from Quora's heavy censorship:

During his presidential campaign he promised to bring the troops home, where they should be.

So he gave the first policy outline 3 years earlier at least.

In the spring of 2018 he told the ‘advisers’ they are already behind schedule in returning the troops home, they were supposed to be back by beginning of that year, they thought he was bluffing and like other presidents won’t carry on with his election promises, when they saw he’s serious they asked for 6 more months more and brought in Saudi, Israel and other Gulfies to convince him. He gave them that 6 months.

When the additional 6 months were over, he gave the instructions publicly if you recall late last year to withdraw the troops from Syria. His minister of defense resigned, he didn’t resign because he was taken by surprise, he resigned because he failed the task assigned to him by his commander to bring the troops home by the end of the extended period.

Under severe pressure and especially since the corporate media is pro wars, he gave them an extension and brought in John Bolton who he thought because he’s the worst bully he can silence the lesser bullies with, Bolton didn’t understand the task and ended up the way we know. He gave them this time 10 months to complete the task. They failed.

By the way, he’s not ordering the troops home, yet, just withdrawing from the conflict region where they’re less secure to the Tanf border area where they can flee to Jordan or Saudi within minutes when needed.

So yes, he did inform his staff to put the plans and withdraw the troops, the problem is with the staff who do not follow orders. In days of wars those who do not follow orders or their superiors have much worse fate than just being expelled from service.

And by no means the above is in his defense, he’s as criminal as his predecessor and predecessors. He’s just seeing things not from the windows of Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Dynamics and others who go bankrupt of there’s no wars. He seems to be trying to rescue the economy before it collapses completely, or at least push the imminent collapse a couple of years further waiting for a miracle.
