My place of power
This is perhaps a tricky one for me to explain. I was thinking hard about where I was feeling most in charge and most in control of myself. I couldn't think of a place in particular. However, I do know that I have that feeling.

Then I figured it out. My power place is not a specific place or time.
So, some explanation is required. In real life, I don't like crowds, I often will feel like running away from people or diving out a window to avoid talking. But, I force myself to be social, mostly...
Anyway, when I am on stage and behind one of my friends in the picture above, I feel like the king of the world and totally and completely happy to be in the centre of attention. I feel completely at ease and free from the fear of judgement.
It is hard to describe this feeling of power, the sense that time is really at your beck and call. Everything moves slower, you can hear and are aware of so much!
So, my "place of power" is on stage behind my wooden friends, but not at any time, but when the concert is on, and the audience is there. Even more so if a solo is approaching.
This was hard to photograph, that is why I have photographed my instruments, as they were the only constant in all of this. The physical place changes, the concert time changes, but they are always there...

Very cool entry! I can relate to what you said a lot even though I'm not a musician. I also dislike groups of people, unless perhaps I'm doing something I love.. And then it doesn't really seem to matter so much what people think.. Cause I'm doing something I love. :) That's the sort of impression I got from your post and your power spot. Which I think is a good and important lesson if people can hear it!

Very awesome entry! I’ve always been a social person but I definitely have times where I don’t want to be in a social setting eithe. That’s awesome that you have a power spot like that that you can go to and just be yourself!
Thanks, it was tricky to describe and impossible to photograph, but I think it sort of makes sense...
No yeah I completely get it and of course sometimes its hard to express it just over a photo and some text!
I think that was a great "Power Spot", like in the song "Turn the page", a photographer is it the location or the camera that makes it a power spot to them, for the scenery painter what really contains the power, the scene, the paint the brush the hand the eye, I forget what silly cartoon it was but one of them always had the saying "We have the Power", and well we do.
I didn't know that song! But YES, that is exactly it! It isn't the place or spot, but a combination of many things and tools and time and place.
