Binaiya Mountain in Manusela National Park is the highest mountain in the Maluku Islands. Uniquely, Mount Binaiya is part of the karst mountains that stretches on Seram Island, Central Maluku District.

If mountain climbing usually starts from a height of several hundred meters from sea level (even about 1000 or 2000 mdpl), the climb of Mount Binaiya starts from altitude 0 (via south gate, Piliana) and 186 (via north door, Kanike).

Passing all kinds of terrain ranging from coastal forests, swamp forests, lowland rain forest, mountain rainforest, to sub-alpine forests, climbing Binaiya is not kidding. From the north entrance (Kanike) the climb takes about 11 days, while passing south (Piliana) 8 days. Binaiya Mountain is not for fun. Make sure you are ready before accepting invitations to climb this mountain.
