Make the smart choice

in #indonesia6 years ago

How do you view your life? Ever think of the future? How do you design your future? Have you ever thought that what you are doing right now is the best for you in the future? Maybe you need to read this article from Ibu Guru Ahira. 1,2,3 ..................... start

An elderly builder intends to retire from the profession he has been in for decades. He wants to enjoy old age with his wife and grandchildren. He knows he will lose his regular income but somehow his old body needs a break. He also conveyed the plan to the foreman.

The foreman feels sad, because he will lose one of his best carpenters, a skilled builder he has in his team. But he also can not force. As a last request before this old carpenter stopped, the foreman asked him to once again build a house for the last time.

With a heavy heart the carpenter agreed but he said because he had intended to retire he would do it not with all his heart. The foreman just smiled and said, "Work with the best you can.You are free to build with all the best materials available"

The carpenter then starts his last job. He was so lazy. He carelessly make the framework of the building, he is lazy to find, then he uses low-quality materials. Unfortunately, he chose a bad way to end his career.

When the house is finished. The foreman came to check. As the foreman held the front door, he turned and said, "This is your house, a gift from me for you!" How surprised the carpenter was. He was very sorry. If only he knew from the beginning that he was building his house, he would do it seriously. Now, as a result, he had to live in a house he had built at random.

This is the reflection of our lives!
Think of the story of the carpenter. Assume the house is the same as your life. Every time you hammer a nail, install a frame, put a tile, do it with all your heart and wisdom. Because your life today is the result of your choice in the past. Your future is the result of your current decision.

This is very inspiring, and educative @bustamam. It is a great lesson: to every cause you commit to, always give your best, and know in some way, either directly or indirectly, you will benefit, or else meet the fate of the carpenter!

Thanks for this inspiration.
